It seems I broke an engine mount on the track today. :-/ I'm not competent enough to diagnose that myself, but fortunately most of the other attending today were pro/semi-pro with their own little team and mechanics, one of who was kind enough to have a look at my car after I tractored off the...
As I was doing some work that necessitated to once more pull down the
map light casing (yeah, this time the attachment broke, so I do not
recommend messing with the map light casing unless you really need
to), I in addition to brighter leds for the map lights also thought I
could implement a way...
Sorry for this very vague question, but I've now three times experienced a very loud clunk when shifting from second or first gear to neutral. All three times have been while driving down the pit lane to my parking slot at the track after finishing a session. First time I thought I must have...
Due to a mistake by a shop I won't use again, and me not double-checking there and then, some months ago I ended up with Michelin "PS4" on the front, rather than the "PS4S"s I ordered. On the rear I still have old, but usable PS4S. I later read PS4 and PS4S are not supposed to be very...
Anyone installed something that looks decently OEM-ish? Tired of listening to the two clowns in the back bickering about whether one or the other are using more than "their half" of the one map pocket that's available (only the passenger seat has a map pocket on my 2020).
Thanks, Ford.
I flushed the brake fluid on my car (18 month old GT 5.0 with stock PP1 Brembos on the front and OEM fluid in it still) today before my trackday on Sunday, and now I'm worried I messed it up.
I filled a power bleeder (similar in design to the one from Motive, but one available more locally)...
This morning I was coasting in neutral for about 700-800 meters (half a mile) I guess. There's a slightly sloping stretch of road that's sometimes traffic jammed, so it's a lot more convenient to shift to neutral and just use the brake to stop and start. At the end of the stretch when I...
I have Vorshlag camber plates that I'm going to be installing once I can set aside enough days for it (I work slooow). Since I'm thinking this will be quite of an ordeal for me skill-wise, I'm wondering if somebody has recommendations for something else that's not expensive and that I should...
Been tracking ebay for 19x11 wheels in the hope something will turn up here in Europe, or somebody who will ship to Europe at a reasonable price. No luck yet, but maybe somebody else will be interested in this, which popped up a few days ago: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224415286028
I see many posts about track day preparations, but little about autocross. I've only seen autocross on videos so far, but these look pretty brutal, at least at the "pro" level, especially on the steering/suspension/wheel hubs I imagine.
For trackdays I change my brake pads to racing pads, but...
I found an old thread here a while ago where a British gentleman has a business importing container loads from the USA to the UK, and you ship your stuff in his container.
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/container-shipping-usa-to-uk.74318/
It looks like a reputable business...
Edit: should have posted in the classifieds section. If moderator can move please.
Accidentally bought the wrong size (1/2"-20 (Mustang)) first time.
If anyone here has a pre-2015 Mustang and wants them you can have them for the cost of postage.
More info...
Some sudden relaxing of the covid19-restrictions here in Spain allowed the organisers to arrange a trackday on a few days notice, with about 12-13 cars attending.
I installed an app called Track Addict I've seen other use, to record my sessions. I wanted to include part of the steering wheel...
Any recommendations for a set of cheap/cheap-ish set of wheels that will clear the Brembos and are sold here in Europe?
I'm looking to get a dedicated set of wheels I can use for the track, but my reason is economic, not performance (just an amateur starting out, but looks like I will be able...
I'm thinking a little bit about having a set of track tires, if I happen to see somebody local-ish selling a cheap set of wheels. Perhaps their old stock wheels? Any reason the stock R19/PP1 wheels would not be good for an amateur on the track?
I have a ~300 miles roundtrip commute through...
