I have bought a lot of new cars over the years, and I have never had a single dealer offer me anywhere close to what the KBB says that my trade in is supposedly worth. You always get screwed on a trade-in, which is why I always wind up selling my car myself.
After doing more research, I am now leaning towards the ZLE. The main reasons are 1) after reading the engine failure thread (and excessive oil consumption), I am worried about the dependability of the GT350 (one of the GT350 owner Youtube channels I subscribed to had his engine fail a couple...
I agree completely. The non-functioning vents on the Supra are completely over the top in terms of pretty much none of them being functional. I told the salesman that was showing me the car as much and he really didn't have a response.
The M2 Comp didn't "became so bad." If you actually look at the ratings and the numbers that they give, the M2 actually comes in first place in 2 of the 4 categories. It is in first place for the category "vehicle" and first place for the category "Powertrain." It loses in the very...
I've seen the Supra in person. I actually love the way it looks, with the very notable exception of the front grille. It looks like a sucker fish of some type and completely ruins the overall look of the car.
Camaro has a better interior, more horsepower, more torque, is faster and handles at least as good at the GT350.
That said, I'd still rather have the GT350.
I was honestly more impressed with the handling of the ZLE than I was with how quick it was. Probably because I expected to be quick, but I didn't expect it to handle as good as it did (and I have owned some excellent handling cars, including Porsche and Lotus).
Objectively I would have to say that a ZLE at $13k below sticker (and I completely believe that number) is a better value than a GT350 R because of dealer markups. I *think* I would rather have the R though (no way for me to say for sure until I am able to actually drive one). I get the...
Funny that you should say that. I actually did go to the Chevy dealer, and they did let me test drive a Camaro ZL1 1LE. I was actually very impressed with that car. It was very fast (which I expected) but it also handled really good, which was a surprise to me. But the visibility is terrible...
The "discussion" that I had with a salesperson at the Ford dealer was a joke. The guy was a complete douche. Super uppity, literally laughed at me when I asked about the possibility of a test drive in the GT350 (non R) that they had on the lot, and went into some long tirade about not even...
