I have an 18 gt with a borla atak catback and I don't really want to get my headers welded up to the mid pipe...but I don't know which headers are direct fit. I would really prefer not having to get a set welded in.
Thanks gents
So I know the sct comes with canned tunes for e85 and 93 octane...if I bought a used sct, would I be able to use those canned tunes on my car? Or would I need to contact sct and buy new ones?
Seems I should know the answer to this but I'm not sure.
I have the black accent package on my 18 gt premium and I was wondering if anyone could make me a "GT" decal in black reflective tape that would be applied inside the decklid GT lettering. Something like this but in a black reflective vinyl.
So one thing I would HIGHLY recommend is to trace and lay down some matte black vinyl under where the honeycomb of the new vents are, otherwise you will see the hood of your car and that's kinda weird. The roushe ones come with a vinyl cutout, these don't, but you can easily make your own for...
Short version:
Splice an rca into the level feeds going into your stock sub ---
---violet and green(+) and green and white(-)
Plug that into your rca and you're good to go....no more bass rolloff!
So I've been up and down and all around with this sucker and I THINK I got it sorted.
Skip the...
Okay.... I've searched and searched, narrowed my problem down to bass roll off when tapping into the rear deck speakers for my 18 shaker pro sub amp.
I TRIED to use the +&- from the stock sub amp as my signal wires for my aftermarket amp, to little success.
Here is my problem:
I stripped the...
So.....
I completely disconnected my stock shaker sub and amp, and ran my own sub and amp. It sounds....well it sounds "okay" but it still seems that SOME form of rolloff is present in the lows when the volume is raised. I'm starting to suspect that removing the factory processing via forscan...
So I've tried contacting harnessbyhextall and I don't think he's active anymore, here nor Facebook. I was hoping to get one of his amp harnesses for the component speaker amp. No it seems I'll have to do it the harder and less tidy way!
Who in here has done it?
I would assume the shaker 9...
I'm toying with the idea of swapping in a 10" B&O enclosure for my shaker sub enclosure....I was wondering if the mounting points line up? Anyone ever try this?
So I'm swapping my sub amp with an aftermarket one and I know there's is a forscan code that needs to be changed but I'm not sure which one....any guidance?
Thanks in advance!
So I recently replaced the door speakers and I disabled the factory processing in forscan. Now whenever I go in reverse the once very audible beeps have become nearly non existent. Its not a HUGE deal, I wouldn't go back to stock processing to bring it back, but I am curious if this has...
PREFACE:
I am no audiophile!
That being said...
I am replacing my amp and was wondering if I could tap in to the wiring going into the stock sub amp, aside from the 12v obviously. Can I just tap into the wiring for the speaker input from the stock harness as opposed to tapping in at the rear...
I have a 2018 GT Premium with the Shaker Pro 12 speaker.
So after replacing the 3.5 and 6.5 door speakers, I've come to the conclusion they need more power. I ha e a kenwood 4 channel 400w mini amp laying around and I would like to use that if possible. Couple of questions
1. Will I need an...
Okay, I'll start by mentioning in not the biggest audiophile. Most of my knowledge stems from teenage/early 20s replacing headunits with aftermarket ones and replacing speakers and adding subs and amps with RCA's, so low level/high level/LOC is a all a bit foreign to me.
Here is my plan...
So I'm about my wits end.... I'm no audiophile so my efforts consist of replacing speakers....at this point at least.
I've replaced the sub with a rockford fosgate P3SD2-8, with good results. Than I moved on to the door 3.5s. I replaced those with a pair of JBL club 3020 3.5s...they're 4 ohm...
So I've searched and the consensus at one point was to replace the center speaker with a polk db351....however they no longer make em and I can't find one anywhere.
What is a comparable alternative? Both in terms of size/depth and impedence? I would prefer sticking with the 2ohm impedence...
