I tried to get Fluid film when I did my springs, but it was sold out at Canadian Tire.
I tried an alternative called 'Honey Goo'... I sprayed basically every bolt, and every metal part under the car while I was under there
Whole car smelled great, but its sticky in comparison to Fluid Film haha.
I've taken my Mustang to Krown both years that I've owned it...
Drilling holes doesn't bother me too much, other than when thinking where the drill broke through the paint, it could get moisture after washing your car.
You could just spray under and around the plastic plugs with fluid film or...
Update on this:
The Princess Auto compressors worked!
I even did it in my living room :like:
I took them apart a couple times to verify correct orientation and proper seating
You can't put them in upside down, and when compressing, I had to go until the clamps were almost touching.

They have a 9" one in stock, which could work, rather than the 14" one you linked to
That's interesting, I've thought about those as maybe having more 'reach' than the locking ones.
You didn't have any issues with interference with the large diameter of the bottom flange?

By the looks of the website, they have a decent sized shop.

Ideally another rental place would have the 'scissor' style compressor, but I haven't found that yet
