Suggest you all learn from my experience (and misfortune). I had my car in the shop for 3 months waiting for Ford US to ship the required transmission parts to my country so they could fix the transmission. Mine is a 2019 GT premium convertible 10 speed automatic.
The mechanic asked me if I...
A nearly brand new Mustang GT premium convertible's interior (with 3K miles) should not creak and sound like a beat-up rental.
At $50K, one expects the same quality as a MB E class or BMW 4 series (both cost the same at approx 50K).
As in the plastic tonneau covers scar, or the roof is scarred by them?
I haven't even taken them out of the plastic bags they came in when I bought the car (Never put them on).
I love discounts on superficial issues... Congratulations! Love the color.
Best part - you don't need to baby the car and can drive it hard from day 1 (assuming the car has crossed 1K miles). Thats hard to do on a brand new version of this car - trust me, my lead foot has been itching to just...
Yup - you are spot on/right. The spots have all disappered, and the top looks perfect; infact I think it looks cleaner.
As @Intrepid175 said - Patience is needed for the 303 stuff to fully dry out.
Makes sence for many I guess :)... still find that whole concept very strange especially given my somewhat unique worldwide view (born and grew up in India, lived in the US for 20+ yrs, and now living in South America).
The Colombians love either the super large SUV's that can be bullet...
Put 303 on the convertible roof yesterday afternoon... poured it into a small pan, and used a horsehair brush to apply it carefully. Didn't bother to spray it given the feedback on this thread... Had no issues with overspray or uneven application - but ended up using the entire bottle.
Overall...
I honestly don't understand the American obsession with SUV's and trucks. It makes sense to get trucks when needed in rural areas (due to unpaved roads) or if you need to haul stuff, but makes no sense to see the massive influx of these in cities with mom's and dads dropping kids to school in...
Brand new '19 GT - been using it for less than 1 month, and my average has been 12.9 miles/gallon.
Granted I am in Medellin (Colombia/South America), which is relatively hilly with smooth yet undulating roads (lots of fun to drive, but hard to do highway style aka boring, one gear, fixed...
haha yes very new to the mustang group. this is my very first mustang.
thanks for the info.
nice color, and i like those rims... have you explored black rims - suspect they would look amazing on your car as well.
haha yes.. took a bit of courage to have the dealer do this (this is in Medellin, Colombia).
I couldn't find a decent detailing shop here (I am still a bit new in Colombia. And would get gringo pricing anyways).
