Same boat. I didn’t buy new wheels as I realized that part of the reason I got the R was for the wheels.
I decided to get Michelin’s 4s tires and it is night and day in rain. I also went 325 in the rear and like the wider tire. You will have some poke but I also have a Raptor so I am used to...
I love my R. I have had it a month and have already put over 1k miles on it and it’s not my daily car.
I drove it today actually after a bad day at work and used it to distract myself and relax. Problem is that my adrenaline is pumping so hard after a good run that I am not calm and amped...
I also wanted to add that my rear tire sticks out past the fender a little bit and would that now cause rubbing. Or would lowering actually camber in the wheel some?
I asked someone and they said the 18 was a simple plug and play. Hoping that’s the case but since I bought the whole assembly I am sure that’s what it should be
Going through this just recently I can tell you that I wish mine was a little lighter as I lost some of the euro look it had before.
I went with 15% windows and back with 40% front. Some days it’s appreciated since it’s hot in Fl but if I could go back and do it over... I would do 35% all...
Wow - that wheel really needs a poster 350R to put a 20inch wheel pkg on as a sponsored/spokesperson for everyone to see what that looks like on a lead foot grey...just saying.
I am purchasing from Ford parts department new mirrors and lamps for my 2018 as I heard that I can just simply replace the whole assembly and they should be plug/play. I really want to have the cobra puddle lamps working. I am also hoping that I can figure out out to turn them on when i want...
Really does need 20 inch wheels as now seeing the gt500 they look small.
That and I think the 2020 really needs a front end refresh and newer rear wing.
As far as I can remember and rationalize this - Ford sells a product which if purchased should be services and warrantied any where.
This is not a company outside of Ford as a 3rd party so I don’t believe he has the right. Furthermore - I think they get reimbursed for warrant items outside of...
Had my R for 2 weeks and it’s a second car. I have already put 500 miles and waiting for the weather to get better (rains every afternoon) before I can really drive it. Plan on 7-10 k per year.
Wow!!! That black just is sexy and the white stripes makes for some beautiful contrast. That is one sexy beast!!!!!
One thing that I did which I would suggest to you would be to switch out those chrome lugs for black ones. Feel like it completed the look and made the wheels seem bigger.
Well - pretty much I just about scared myself a few times with the R. I chirped 2nd and 3rd so you can imagine how fast I was going.
And I found a open road with a larger sweeper and the car took it like its a go kart.
I will be more responsible and slow down - but holy hell this thing is...
Tires made a huge difference and honestly I am not feeling the tramlimg issues I had before and these are super quiet.
Just do it if you are on the fence.
Best mod so far and I love the new feel of the cAr.
Here are some more photos - I used the black locking lugs and he used black weights.
The 325’s on the back look amazing - having a Raptor, I really enjoy a little tire poke from the fender.
Install was perfect!!
They charged me $45 a wheel and I got a straight tire rack cost (with tire warranty) because an old friend works in parts.
Everything road forced and installed with certs was $1,809
New tires today...went with the 4s Michelin’s as I wanted to drive in wet and dry roads.
Took her to Porsche Orlando as I knew it would be done correctly.
I decided not to tune it and just keep it stock - just put a new air filter and called it a day. I don’t think I need any louder as it makes enough noise when the valve is open.
I have also decided to keep the stock wheels on the car and just get new tires. I cannot really see myself putting...
