Not sure but the cars repair was only about 64% of what they said the car was worth. Im sure if it were to reach a certain amount they would have just totaled it out.
the number is high yes but keep in mind the air bags didn't deploy. Which i believe is reported as a more serious accident on car fax. It was so expensive because everything on this car is just expensive the wheel/tires alone were 13.5k.
I went with Nitto 555 305/35/19 on all four. They seem pretty good in the rain. i have had them in 55 degree weather with no problems. This size will rub at full lock so be careful. I went with them because they allow me to not bottom out on my driveway and at many other places i was having...
If anyone remembers a few months back i crashed my GT350R. I recently got the car completely finished. At first the car was done in mid June but when i went to change the wheels/tires i noticed A LOT of damage on the three brake calipers that weren't replaced so after a bit of back and forth...
I am getting my 350r back in about a week after a umm mis hap with a certain ditch. Problem is insurance only replaced two of the tires and i drive my car daily even in rain. I was thinking about running nitto nt555 g2 tires square 305/35r19 on stock carbon fiber wheels. Would these tires work...
Im kinda surprised as well. I think the insurance company over valued the car at 70.5k. I see them for sale in the lower 60 range right now with 4k miles. They probably just don't want to deal with auctioning it off due to corona going on.
Yes I have the estimate. Here are some of the parts. I don't feel like copy pasting them all, but i will list the big ones. I will upload video on youtube later going over the estimate and valuation of my car.

These tires aren't made for cool wet days and the car got the best of me. It literally felt like driving on ice the moment i started merging back into my lane. Had zero control over the car.
No air bags were deployed. Which is surprising however most of the damage was from under hitting a sizable rock. If i didn't hit it i would be looking at a lot less damage to the passenger side. The body shop estimates just looking at the car that its in the 20-30k range most likely closer to...
Here are some pictures after they tor off the bumpers and skid plate at the body shop. Looks like the damage inst that bad except the carbon wheels. No idea how long till i can actually get it fixed due to the corona virus.
Cup2's are amazing tires. In the DRY. I was driving about 2 hours after it finished raining and when the car lost traction it felt like i was on ice. ZERO control over anything. My first thought was well sht i guess this is happening. Second was am i going to die? and third was holly crap I'm OK...
I was in regular mode with sport steering. I think i'm going to drive with steering on normal from now on and i don't think ill ever turn track mode on unless I'm on a track after all this lol.
