I could be wrong but I think the car only does the sync and not the maps. Could be you are downloading Sync 3.4. I believe the map requires Sync 3.4 to be loaded before it will allow you to update the maps. But I could be wrong - the memory is not as sharp as it used to be hahaha
Yes, thatās what I did. Took a nice drive along the beach. Took a little over an hour. Has multiple restarts of the system so wait until you get the remove stick message that stays on. Have to do a restart at that point to get it to finalize.
There are many types of chips. There are ICās ( Integrated Circuits), ASICās( application specific integrated circuits), passives, discrete, and a host of others. One fabricated, all these chips are assembled using state of the art assembly lines onto either PCBās or in some cases ceramic...
COVID plus Semiconductor shortage equals lack of inventory and higher prices due to demand outpacing supply. That is the primary reason prices are up generally at all price points (And used and new inventory). I was talking to a dealer a short while ago and they were selling their loaners...
When I was younger I had a 5.0 LX when they first came out. I had waited till I got a 1000 miles on it and wanted to open her up. Was at a red light in the first position on a road that had no access and was divided with a cement median - so I figured this is a good a place as any to let her...
Just curious - does anyone have any specific instances where info from this was used against them or resulted in warranty denied? Is it a lot, a little, maybe never happened? Maybe with other car brands or same brand alternatives (like F150 etc..)? Not arguing any of the points just wondering...
agreed - there will be times that you think you should pull the usb but donāt until it stops completely. For sure donāt remove if you still see the little usb light blinking. Took about and hour for everything to complete
Same happened to me. After the master reset I got the voice part of nav back and all worked well. I then loaded the second (the fixed one from Ford) USB stick that Ford sent out and it loaded perfectly and when complete everything worked as it should.
Update: for grins I decided to do a master reset and low and behold all the voice commands came back. Then went for a ride and tried to update using the second Ford USB. Went just like it was supposed to and loaded fine and still have voice commands.
I did the same - Dealer said APIM was zonked and they had to order a new one. I showed them your (I think) picture of what work was done and they said they tried to do it but no luck.
Interesting for me. I got a stick from Ford and it started all right but never moved from the updating screen and never restarted or confirmed it updated. I then did a download and it generated an error and did not load. But low an behold I checked the Ford site this morning and it says I am...
No itās supposed to look like that. A professional photographer liked the look of the car and took them. He saw me driving and flagged me down and sent them to me a few days later.
