  1. Distance from drivers headrest to all speakers

You're better off with this method anyway. Also, properly setting up a DSP takes a ton of time and revision. There is no fast way to do it. I'm using 11 channels of DSP at the moment between two processors to deal with everything. Just be glad if you're using one processor, because matching...
  2. Distance from drivers headrest to all speakers

I can share my measurements for my seat position and my head if you really want them. However, they're not useful, as if you're doing time alignment, you want your accuracy to be as tight as possible, hence measure your own headrest. If you're using something like the AudioFrog UMI-1, you can...
  3. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

Great Thread. Super clean install. Sadly, web indexing is irritating, as it didn't come up in the searches I did.
  4. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

Well, I just did something I haven't seen online yet. I didn't like any of the mounting options for the DSR1 or Maestro device, so I just removed the stock amp. Two 10mm and one 7mm bolt later, that plate comes out, and I was able to use a T30 to remove the factory ford amp from the mounting...
  5. Join me in fixing the center speaker issue

Hybrid Audio Legatia L3v2 solves everything :) https://hybrid-audio.com/speakers/legatia/ Well, it's not a simple, just add that, but if you're going to use a 3 inch driver, you can't do much better.
  6. My 8000W/4500W Sound System Build - Fi Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Hertz

Good luck with your short block. Would hate to see you have to rip all that work out.
  7. 2019 B&O upgrade woofer

Do yourself a favor, and don't just replace the woofer. Do some research on how much you want to deal with this, as there are no "easy" solutions for what you want. If you just want a different sub, ping Hextall (He's on this forum, also https://www.harnessbyhextall.com/). I don't know if they...
  8. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

So I took some stuff apart, and found something interesting. For those that hate visible mods, the Rockford Fosgate PBR300X1 is about the same size as the stock sub amp. See the mock up image. Just a thought if you, like me, hate amp racks, and want to go as stealth as possible. Furthermore...
  9. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

If you do something crazy, like put a DSR1 into your car feeding into the stock amp (wiring diagram and parts to do this are in this thread on page 7), yes you can do this. You will need an EQ if you want a 3 way setup on a stock amp with good results. I did: (All Hybrid Audio) Clarus Tweeter...
  10. Backup Camera Not Working

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/attachments/tsb-18-2362-inop-bakup-cam-pdf.340632/ TSB 18-2362 That's the Technical service bulletin for this. Covers 2015-2017. You probably need the entire wire loom replaced. Part is cheap, labor is not.
  11. ★ Quiet Down Your Interior in Seconds! - Blockit Pre Cut Sound Deadener

So, since people are posting pics. Here's what happens if you don't want to see the blockit. I put the Ford rubber mat over it, and it looks great.
  12. 2019 Bang & Olufsen retrofit for 2015-2018 S550

FYI, the Rockford Fosgate T400X4ad is awesome, and is freaking tiny, making installation easier. Edit: Just want to mention, JL amps are awesome, so no disparagement here. :) I just like making things easier.
  13. 2019 Bang & Olufsen retrofit for 2015-2018 S550

https://rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/dsr1/ This item (along with the F03 adapter) will likely be your best friend should you go after market.
  14. 2019 Bang & Olufsen retrofit for 2015-2018 S550

I had this same issue with the Shaker system. I used the interior / audio main thread page 7 info for the connectors to the stock amp. I bought a male and female, and have a breakout wire that I used to wire in a DSR1, but instead of going to amps, it goes back into stock amplifier. This means...
  15. Midrange Depth

Glad that was helpful. I've done something insane honestly, as I just swapped those three midrange drivers, and then used the main info thread to buy components to build a RCA level intercept for the stock amp. Basically, I'm running the 4 channel output from Sync 3 (shaker) to a DSR1, and the...
  16. Midrange Depth

To help, have some pics. These are Hybrid Audio Legatia L3v2 Drivers. You can find their mechanical drawings here: https://hybrid-audio.com/files/manuals/05_Legatia-Components-Manual.pdf As you can see, there's a lot of space in the center console area. For the doors, you can disassemble the...
  17. Do you have audio questions?

You need as many channels as you want to run. You could run the front stage off of two channels with a 3 way crossover. You could use 4 channels, if you use an active crossover for the midbass/midrange, and then passive for the tweeter. You could use 6 channel if you want to go 3 way active on...
  18. Do you have audio questions?

If anyone's interested. This worked perfectly. (Insofar as I have full EQ control of Shaker stereo). First pass of tuning results: Boomyness is gone. This stereo had a massive bump at 100Hz (mid bass) that I flattened out, sound is a lot cleaner now. Nest step, a few more passes of tuning to...
  19. Speaker Only Upgrade

I agree completely. For me it's not about the money, although I don't mind getting a decent DSP for less. I've built and tuned SQ competition winning systems before. For me, using a DSR1 into the stock amp and speakers is a challenge. For someone that can solder and tune, that's a lot of fun.
  20. Speaker Only Upgrade

Fair enough, but we're talking about 4-6x the price for those. If you're not trying to use the factory amp, the Maestro DSR1 kit plus a JL VX amp can effectively give you enough channels of amp + DSP with significantly easier install / config for most people.
