Yes, I got the heavy because of my spoiler, but don't think that weight of the spoiler would make a difference. I put the stock struts back in and it's flush again
I loved the functionality but not sure if it's because I have a vert, or just need the no wing option, but removed my steeda struts because my trunk was lifting and bending. My trunk definitely did not have this much of a gap prior to installing the struts.
Finally got the right one in the mail yesterday. I guess they had to lay some people off due to covid. They also sent the return label to mail the wrong one back. Install was pretty simple even though none of the bolts lined up. Sits flush with no gap.
Agree with their customer service. I requested my return through eBay and the company contacted me for the part number. Turned out they did send the coupe spoiler and will send the correct one along with mailing label to send back the wrong one.
One I got the old spoiler off and mocked up the new one. There was a huge gap on the ends, about a 1/4" on each side. I bolted down one side but there was no way I could get the other. It was almost like I got a fastback spoiler.
Finally back in a mustang! Live in Alexandria, VA. Sold my 1991 lx vert last year and regretted it. Found a good deal on a used 18 with 6500 miles and had to get it.
