  1. I "think" Ford secretly allows Ceratec.

I would also very much appreciate info about the result. I have tried their MoS2 anti-friction treatment additive instead of Ceratec and that did nothing about the tick. About 200ml of Ceratec is my way at the moment.
  2. Disabling the Automatic Cancellation of the Recirculation

Hi, it has nothing to do with auto mode. My EU-spec 2017 GT does that, too (annoyingly) and my climate is in manual mode 99,9% of the time. It happens after some time, even if you do not touch any controls. Noticed it when driving a long trip in hot weather (35C/95F). To stay cool without...
  3. Pulley sound?? when cold

Well I looked up the part number of the chain tensioners that is mentioned in the TSB, which is JL3Z-6L266-C. And this part number fits Coyote Gen 2 und Gen 3 (MY 2015 and above). I also found that this part number replaces FR3Z-6L266-B and JL3Z-6L266-B. So yes, there is an updated version of...
  4. Pulley sound?? when cold

Good to hear your problem is solved now. My temperature range is a bit different (110-180F), but the behaviour is the same. Completely cold no chirp and fully warmed up no chirp. I wonder why the TSB is only for 2018+, as the symptoms on my 2017 are exactly the same and I checked the part...
  5. Pulley sound?? when cold

short update, I tried one bottle of Ceratec and no change to the chirp at all :-( This drives me nuts.
  6. BBQ tick - another attempt to understand

Hi, this is a long story. They found out that one of the camshafts had lateral play, changed the camshaft and the phasers, but no luck. Then replaced the complete right cylinder head and declared the issue as fixed. It is not completely gone now, but much much better. I hope this will still be...
  7. Pulley sound?? when cold

Thanks, I know about the TSB, but as I said, the techs in Germany refuse to repair, because the TSB is not officially released here. Funny enough, this chirp is there since they changed the timing chain and the tensioners because of the BBQ tick I also have.
  8. Pulley sound?? when cold

Hi, I also have this annoying chirp, it appears about 1 minute after cold start and goes almost completely away when the cyl head temp reaches about 180 F. Did anybody try Ceratec to cure this issue? Does it help as it seems to do for the BBQ tick? I'm living in Germany and my dealer says the...
  9. BBQ tick - another attempt to understand

True. I brought my ticking 17 GT to the dealer and they think it has to do something with the valve train or timing chain. They already changed the timing chains and tensioners which did not change anything. Based on my observations I cannot believe it has got anything to do with the valve...
  10. Introduce yourself!!

Hi Forum, my name is Tom and I live in Bavaria/Germany. I own a 2017 GT (EU spec) and absoluteley love the looks and the V8 sound. Besides that, I also like it for being a powerful RWD car with no turbo and with manual transmission (I'm old school in that respect). With that characteristics...
