  1. PCV breather debate

There is no way it keeps the engine cleaner. There is black sludge in my intake tubing and intercooler. Before I supercharged it I had a catch can that would be filled with oil every 5k. No doubt the PCV system is better for the engine but routing it back to the intake is def not good for it...
  2. PCV breather debate

Did you pull the PCV valves out or just secure the filter to them. I didn’t plan on pull the check valve out.
  3. PCV breather debate

Could someone smart explain to me why routing a hose to the floor or using filter caps / breathers on the PCV valves is bad or good when applying it to a gen 2 coyote motor? I have a procharged s550 and would like to put a cone filter directly on the head unit (it just looks and sounds way...
  4. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

Agreed. Like I said, it’s def sketchy. I do remember watching him then asking him what gear he was in. He confirmed fifth gear idk.
  5. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

It was 5th gear pull. It has 3.73 with a slightly bigger tire setup in the back. Also, I wouldn’t count on the mph scale being correct considering how shitty this graph is. I’m not sure if the gear pull would even matter with hp numbers. Torque def but in this case I don’t have it.
  6. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

Update. I brought my car to Cal Speed in Bakersfield to get dyno numbers and possibility a better tune. The guy was really busy, had coyote swaps everywhere so I felt pretty comfortable he knew what he was doing. He had a Dynojet installed outside and was using HP tuners to run the numbers...
  7. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

    Did you update your injectors?
  8. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

I have an appointment for a dyno tune. I’ll have before and after charts for everyone to too see.
  9. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

I’m not sure what my Pulley size is. I think it might be a bit bigger then the standard kit because of CARB requirements. I also can’t find any info on my crank size. However, I was able to figure out the supercharger Pulley rpm using a strobe light at idle engine rpm. This gives me a simple...
  10. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

Catback exhaust and replaced the air filter with a K&N
  11. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

I generally drive with it all on but have tested it with both track control and Advance Trac off. I have done a few more pulls too, all the way to until i hit the rev limiter, and the best boost numbers I can get is 6.5 psi at 7200 / 7300 rpm (rev limiter.) I plan on calling procharger on...
  12. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

Redline for the gen 2 coyotes is 7000 rpm. 500 more RPM isnt going to get me to 8 psi.
  13. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

According to the website its 8 psi and the stage 2 is 9 psi. https://www.procharger.com/automotive-superchargers/ford/mustang-gt/2015-16-mustang-gt-50-4v#/2017-15-ford-mustang-gt-50l-ho-intercooled-system-factory-airbox
  14. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

UPDATE. I bought a cheap boost gauge to verify pressure. I did a few pull and was able to get a snapshot with a GoPro. At 5500 it looks like I’m at 5psi. I did another pull and brought it to 6500 and saw 6.25 psi. I’m not sure what rpm the advertised 8+ psi is at, but 6.25 psi at 6500 seems...
  15. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

I never thought to check it after I installed the bumper. Thanks for the post, def going to check this.
  16. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

I could be mistaken but isn’t the bypass valve Fail closed, meaning it opens under vacuum? I checked it before I installed it to verify functionality. I remember the valve opening when I sucked on the vacuum line. It makes sense to me cuz my vacuum pressure is the highest when the car is at...
  17. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

Nothing really. They said the datalog I gave them looked fine. I guess I expected more power, it def pulls hard up top but like I said it wasn’t all that impressed.
  18. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

That would explain why I couldn’t find it. I’m assuming the MAP PID I’ve read about was for the ecoboost motors. I did get a chance to log the MAF and notice it was around 83 lbs/min. I’m not sure how to equate that to boost though. Do you or anyone else know of any remote tuners that have...
  19. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

I’m going to install a real boost gauge soon to verify pressure. I’ve tried data logging the the MAP pressures but with minimal success. The PIDs for MAP pressure aren’t that straight forward and have read some post that these aren’t very accurate anyway. Besides the small issue with the...
  20. Procharger Stage 1 Kit is a huge disappointment!

Haha. I’ve considering this. The kit was super easy to install. I did run into an issue with the vacuum that operates the bypass valve getting pinched though. I’ll upload some pics in a few days.
