Yeah, but those are all good things. Again, part of the reason I like it is because it avoids that ridiculous looks that "real" ceramic will give you. The lower silica content still allows you to get protection while not looking like a rolling Skittles :)
I usually don't contribute to the large threads but I'll do that here because no one has mentioned mine yet. I use Black Magic Tire Wet. Yes, I get that it has its detractors, but to me it's a good product and I know how to use it. Goes on relatively easy and leaves a "mellow" shine. Definitely...
I will do that. Although for me, detailing is like therapy, so I enjoy doing it. It will be hard to think about how good the CMX is alone since I'll most likely always have a quality wax or detailer (both Mothers) on top of it too.
What you are posing as "super shininess" to me looks like a hard-candy shell. It just looks a little too "thick" to me and borders on ridiculous. This affects some colors more than others, IMO people with Kona Blue cars just shouldn't get crazy with the ceramic, it looks awful. I'm just not a...
I can't believe there has been this many posts and no one has suggest Spray Away glass cleaner. It is one of the few glass cleaners that is safe for tint because its ammonia free. I would highly recommend this product, you can find it at Home Depot, WalMart and sometimes at O'Reilly auto parts.
Two coats of ceramic applied. Looks nice without looking like a Skittles rolling down the street (ie that hard candy-coated-shell that ceramic can give)
I am of the mindset that you shouldn't just jump around trying to use all the latest "hot" detailing products. You should find a line and stick with it, learn it, know how it reacts, etc (I believe I picked this up from one of the Ammo videos).
For me, that line is Mothers and I have now...
Yes, if you can find a skilled craftsman in your area, powder coating is completely worth it. I took my time picking this color and just loved how it all came out.
First off, my GT was bone stock so it didn't come with any torsion bar at all. Second, and I'd have to confirm this with someone who did get a model that has one, the stock version does not have the part that connects to the center of the body. My understanding is that the stock ones just...
Added a brand new Ford Performance torsion bar after finally getting it back from my powder coater. My guy does excellent work but is back-logged like crazy, had to wait 5 weeks for this.
Netgear is upside down so that I can get to the USB connection easier. It uses USB-C and those cables are not always the easiest to find so I have to place it like this to reach the USB hub.
This is one of my weekend projects for my s550:
In the pic, on the left, it’s a RigRunner that also has powered USB; I’ll use this to power my radar detector (Uniden R3) and leaves ports for future expansion. Center is a Netgear Nighthawk mobile hotspot so I can travel with my own WiFi...
I agree with the previous advice you received. Also, one of the CJ videos showed them using a magnet to retrieve them since the retaining rings on the back are metal and you can get them that way.
This is my first Mustang and my first time having aftermarket wheels on any car I've owned. I have a 2019 GT with the stock 18" wheels and I have just ordered these from AM: https://www.americanmuscle.com/black-amr-19x85-2015.html
I have read conflicting info on whether my stock lug nuts will...
