Update: Got my car back after 20 days, said it was fixed. I went to pick it up, and huge clouds of smoke still coming out of the exhaust. I have a video of it, but not sure how to upload it here. Shop said Ford closed my buyback case, and I’ve left them 3 voicemails since then trying to get it...

Car is still in the shop. They replaced a cam phaser, and found another one that was sticking. Still going through this process.

How do I go about unwinding the deal? Not sure exactly what you mean, and who is the one I need to be taking to, Ford or that dealer.

I have created a case with Ford today, they told me I don’t qualify for a buyback yet per MS guidelines. Also created a case with BBB. Looks like the law says I have a case if it has 3 or more repairs for the same issue. If I count the time before owned it, this would be 3. Just working...

Agreed! I don’t think this should be my problem at this point, seems like they need to fix this on them, even if they need to take my car back.

I’m hoping this is my leg to stand on. Definitely wasn’t under the impression my NEW car had been previously owned, or that it already had a service history starting around 100 miles.
