OK problem solved, when the guy installed to amp he set the RCA inputs coming from the dsr1 to high level, duh why would he do that? Once I switched it to low level the damn thing started jamming. Those JL C5s sound freaking sweet, they are crisp, clear, clean and loud now. My sub is hitting...

Crutchfield It’s wired through the dsr1 as I originally posted using the maestro t harness, the amp has been removed. Apparently the trunk has poor acoustics I put the rear seat down and the sub comes alive, I put the seats back up and sub goes limp what a difference. Still this amp seems weak...

Not a happy camper at all, this amp does not get loud enough for me, the installer said he configured it for maximum output and I should adjust levels down to my sound settings. I told the guy down I can barely hear it as it is and the sub is non-existent. For what’s there, it sounds beautiful...

It’s not running hot, but I would like to ditch the fans, trying to gauge what is too hot, so if I switch over to the oversized HE I want to monitor the temps.

I thought about putting a thermostat on the fans, letting them kick in when needed, like in traffic. Any idea how to gauge your IAT temps? Let me know what you find out.

My amp crossovers are set off atm, still playing with system, my speaker crossovers have adjustments as well. I just got this installed today, need to play around with it more. Sound good so far.

How do you determine if your Whipple is running too hot? Head temps, coolant temp, something else? What temp is consider running hot?

I went with the dual fans, I hate how loud they are. My concern is how the oversized HE runs in traffic in the hot North Carolina heat, seriously would like to switch to rid the fan noise. Anyone down south running this setup? Any issues with overheating in traffic?

Mine had 5000 miles on it when I put my Whipple on, yes it’s financed, have 15000 miles on it now and not a single regret or problem with the car, I hammer it too, but I don’t track the car it’s a daily driver.
