Quick update to give Ford customer service their due: I was emailed that Ford corrected the problem on the website. I was able to download the map update files and will be installing in the next few days. Thanks Ford!
Yup, that's the same screen where I pulled my SYNC ESN number. I note that you have MAP version NA 118 which appears to be newer than my version although I believe from previous posts that this latest map update will get a user to version NA 119 which is the most recent version.
I don't believe so; the map version I have currently is "NA 117" and it is the version that came with the car when I bought it new. Good to know though.
Thanks! After I updated to SYNC v3.4, I went to the "About SYNC" page on the screen. It had "Gracenote Version" at the very top, then Navigation Maps Version in the middle and then at the bottom "SYNC Serial Number (ESN):" which is the number I used. Is there another ESN number I should be...
Hey everyone thanks for the heads up regarding the map update. I just successfully updated my 2019 Bullitt from SYNC v 3.2 to v3.4. I then used the following link for the map update:
https://syncnavigation.com/ford/home
The site accepted my VIN but then reported that my SYNC Serial Number...
When I had my dealer do it I brought in six 500 ml bottles of the RBF600. I believe I got a fully unopened bottle back so six should do it. If your results vary please let me know as I may do that work myself next go around.
And I'll let Abomination confirm this but I believe when he first posted pictures of his car in a separate thread he mentioned that he did have a 1'' spacer in the fronts.
To me the accuracy is related somewhat to function and appearance by getting an overall 20'' wheel/tire diameter that is fairly close to the OEM 19'' diameter.
Yes, the Special Service Duty wheels I believe are made for Steeda's law enforcement/patrol vehicles and look like they only come in black from the factory. i would most likely get them painted something closer to the dark grey of the original '68 Bullitt GT 390 movie car.
At this point, most likely going with the Carroll Shelby CS-11 "Bullitt" style wheel in Gunmetal. I believe they are 20 x 9.5 for the fronts and 20 x 11 for the rears. They are also suprisingly light weighing about 27.8 and 29 lbs respectively.
Alternatively, I was liking the 20 inch rims on...
db252 -- Beautiful, thanks so much! Do you happen to have any shots looking down the side of the car? I want to get a sense of how much tires, especially the fronts, extend past the wheel well.
Louk -- See Dusten's comment above. When I used a wheel tire size calculator the 30 profile tires (in the 20 size at least) were slightly closer to the OEM tire diameter than the 35s and thus creating a bit less speedometer inaccuracy.
Thanks and I like your description of the issue as a "wiggle." Have fun with autocross, it's such a great way to work on car control skills and really see how the car can perform while doing it in a relatively low-risk way.
Thanks Schwerin! I am also still leaning towards the M-9602-M package. I have been very impressed by the ride in the Magneride-equipped Bullitt. Great daily drivability and fantastic absorbtion of road imperfections.
The one disconcerting thing about the ride is that it still feels somewhat...
