I stand by my use of "Oldify", and would argue that ripping through gears in a good DCT is just as fun as slamming through them on a manual;
they are just different kinds of fun.
I guess the main issue with a DCT is that peeps won't be able to get up on their high horse and look down on others...
Don't give this guy your views, the meaningless conjecture and conclusions drawn from nothing are no better than most of the uninformed posts on this forum
I think the only effect the non-manual choice is going to have on sales is less pre-orders, followed by insane dealer markup once everyone gets a chance to see how much better the DCT is than a manual and all of the cars are sold
This is beautiful...
I whole-heartedly agree with #4. Overall, I think people tend to underestimate what 700+ and a manual is like to live with on a daily basis, even on the track for that matter. In the end, this car is built for performance, not just "fun". A manual may be more "fun", but...
I find a RWD vehicle getting into 3 second 0-60s pretty silly actually, and don't think it has as much to do with the engine or power as it does the amount of driving wheels/contact patch.
The GTR has a pretty sweet AWD and traction control system that puts the power to the ground effectively...
No new info? Ford confirmed a bunch that to this point was just a bunch of rumours.
7 speed DCT, 5.2 SC, QM, 0-60, brake size, tire, etc...
Realistically, the car is going to be somewhere between 700hp and 750hp... Why not knowing the exact number
causes peeps to go online and complain is...
Do you always review things before having any experience with them? Basically just as useful as an amazon review that says "This is the best item I've ever purchased, can't wait until it comes in the mail"
I hope, for your sake, you give the new DCT a chance, as you will be missing out if you...
