  1. Average S550 monthly payment?

I think is interesting how some believe a high monthly payment is not smart, but putting down thousands upon thousands or pay off full on the spot for a mustang is any better. The mustang will depreciate fairly quick (inflation will go down). I personally could have paid for mine on the spot...
  2. i wonder if K&N drop in filters net more gains with 2022 cars...

It's very simple. Get a '18-21 air filter box lid. Remove and insert the honeycomb from the '22 on the earlier lid and use if you like a dry (recommed) performance air filter like the AFE Pro Dry. The honeycomb was obviously developed because the new carbon filter and bracing will create...
  3. 10HP Loss, Not compression! Real reason exposed with Dyno Proof

So I got a hold of a ‘19 GT air filter box and tube that my buddy had sitting around. I’ve been curious about the inner diameter tube size since the ‘19 doesn’t have the carbon trap/bracket/housing and honeycomb insert and the ‘22 does. Well I measured the inside diameter of the insert on my ‘22...
  4. 10HP Loss, Not compression! Real reason exposed with Dyno Proof

I'm sure that removing any airflow restriction in the air intake side will show better mpg. There are 3 things with the "22+ carbon trap that I noticed that will decrease airflow. Not only the carbon trap, but the housing is smaller (area) that even the actual engine air filer. This not even...
  5. 10HP Loss, Not compression! Real reason exposed with Dyno Proof

There is one. Look into this threads and pictures: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/look-what-i-discovered-in-my-22-%F0%9F%A4%A8.179049/ I'm glad that you are not noticing anything crazy, but keep in mind that you don't want your fuel trims to be on the high side because it leaves very...
  6. 10HP Loss, Not compression! Real reason exposed with Dyno Proof

There is one. Just like the Mach 1. Another member took it off on his but his car was already tuned and still acted funny.
  7. 🚀 World Premiere: 7th Gen Mustang S650!!

I know the exterior is going to grow on me, but there's no way the interior is a go. What the heck where they thinking? Why they couldn't integrate the screens or make it flow within the cluster instead of having to iPads side by side? The lower part of the center controls looks cheaper than the...
  8. 10HP Loss, Not compression! Real reason exposed with Dyno Proof

When you say the MAF tube diameters are the same between the '22 and '21, did you actually measure the inside diameter? I am curious due to the insert (airflow straightener). A few millimeters between the two can throw off the MAF readings against the calibration.
  9. Catch Can Air / Oil Separators

Why do people keep talking about the valves? These are PI engines. Leave that part to the BMWs. It’s not about the valves. It’s about combustion efficiency and the oil in the intake that changes the airflow dynamics. If you’ve never seen an intake manifold with a puddle of oil from a late model...
  10. Catch Can Air / Oil Separators

Okay. It is true the 18+ Coyote are Direct and Port Injection. It's true that DI suffers from valves getting gunk while PI alleviates that. Now I would not buy a catch for a 18+ or any PI engine thinking about the valves, but the dilution of the octane while introducing an oil mist that works...
  11. Look what I discovered in my 22! 🤨

Here's my take. I would not pull the insert unless you are being tuned on a dyno. That honeycomb will do wonders for drivability. More than likely you aren't getting a lot more air, but not having the honeycomb is throwing the calibration off with turbulent air.
  12. Look what I discovered in my 22! 🤨

Interesting. Were those ran at WWTR? Funny thing I live in O'Fallon too but IL.
  13. Look what I discovered in my 22! 🤨

I also noticed the honeycomb yesterday but I guess didn't pay too much attention that it was an insert and not built in. I speculated the honeycomb was to straighten the airflow in a more laminar fashion since the carbon trap may be altering it now. So thinking about it, the '22 MAF area is...
  14. Look what I discovered in my 22! 🤨

I have a '22 as well, and will be looking at this today. Personally, there's no doubt in my mind the biggest restriction is not the carbon trap filter material. Look at the actual engine air filter size and look at how the volume (area) has been minimized with the carbon filter "compartment and...
  15. Here's the 2021 Mach 1!!

Well I wouldn't hold my breath for anything over 500. I think they're just going to do a revise tune and call it a day.
  16. Passenger side floor wet

Co worker '15 or '17 gt had the same problem. Weld pinch at the windshield top right (passenger side) failed and seal was not doing its job either. Car was bought back by Ford with all the issues it had. To this day I am scared to buy another newer mustang since my '11 gt gave me other issues...
  17. BBQ Tick Test Request

I said it in a previous post. If Ford can sweep the possible rod clearance issue under the normal tick sound, well, prepare to be denied any warranty until the engine blows up. This is really sad to see. Who wants to deal with the dealer and all their known customer service problems on their...
  18. New ssm from Ford ( Typewriter Noise )

I did not say the tick is causing engine failures, but what causes it is the question. Just because it's "normal" according to Ford, it doesn't mean that an answer isn't warranted as to what causes it. GM did the same thing with the LS7 and the valve guide wear. No need to reply or answer what's...
  19. New ssm from Ford ( Typewriter Noise )

Your post makes absolutely 0 sense. Who in their right mind wants their car to be wrong? What people want is not a cookie cutter response just like Ford put out. I guess you are not one of those who have experienced the annoying tick. First of all what causes the tick? My '11 developed the tick...
