Absolutely
Although I was lucky that the grill of my car was being replaced after some damage, so the panel shop had removed it. But if you're confident in removing the grill/nose section then the rest is a walk in the park. I've recently had some of the brackets for the switch laser cut in case...
Thanks for the compliment.
Actually I never drive on dirt roads, the dirt you see behind the grill is only what I can't reach when washing it. It's actually iron ore dust from the car park where I work. The car park is only about 200m from the conveyors and the wind most often blows towards the...
Please excuse the wires showing under the switch in the 4th photo, the photo was taken prior to tidying up the wiring. In the last photo the flash overpowered the red halo LED of the switch but you can still just see the red glow. The switches are available in several colours, but because of my...
Update
Finally sorted out a way to add an electrical bonnet latch system to my car. A hidden switch placed adjacent to the OBD2 port under the dash which activates 2 central locking actuators (1 was not quite powerful enough). This setup retains the original lever on the passenger side so if...
"Johnson" is only used in the manner to which you refer in the USA and, probably, Canada. It's not used that way in the rest of the English speaking world. So your reply is somewhat small minded. We in the more traditional English speaking countries simply don't recognise such modifications to...
Ford added several new splash screens in Version 3.2 (I think it was that). The Mustang EVO splash screen was one of those. I regularly check for Sync3 updates :) I have that splash screen on my MY19 GT. But I don't remember the exact coding for it.
Thanks for the info guys.
Very disappointing for me though, because the buttons on the steering wheel don't respond fast enough for my liking and I definitely have to stretch to reach the dial. But such is life :) when we accept internationally built cars at the expense of our own car...
Hi
I too have been looking for a little info regarding my B&O system on my Aussie 2019 GT. Therefore wondering if you could help.
When Ford did the conversion to RHD in the factory, they simply ignored a few things that should be converted but obviously their executive don't give a damn about...
I have an Aussie 2019 GT, these are all premium, I'd like to swap the Volume and Tune controls on the bezel because Ford were too arrogant to convert fully to RHD. For this I need a pin assignment list. I found one on this thread but the image was too small and too blurred to read. Does anyone...
Sorry for the delay, finally had time today to get things done.
Front wheels are 20 x 9 x +28 but there is definitely plenty room for movement with those. I think the photos in the posts after your last one are the sort of specs you're looking for.
I'm actually not looking for an aggressive appearance. I'm just wanting sporty but classy (I'm too old to worry about aggressive). Hence the massive improvements to the interior. I don't want to give any law enforcement personnel a reason to stop me and put the car off the road. So mine is as...
Hi again
Based on the fact that your rims will be 1/2 inch wider, therefore 1/4 inch inside and 1/4 inch outside, by my calculations your wheel would only sit out about 1/4 inch further (6.35mm) subtract from that the extra 3mm offset your wheels have and you're only left with about 3.35mm more...
G'day Tim
I see you liked one of my posts so you may have seen the wheels on my Ruby Red GT in my posts. I have 20 x 10.5 with +38 offset on the rear with 295/35 R20s and the camber is at -2.0 deg but the tyres still touch (very lightly) if It bounces too much, such as the down side of bigger...
Based on that premise, you should also enter the car from the passenger side when you're going to drive because it's safer. I almost always open the bonnet while I'm already sitting in the drivers seat. As do (I think) the majority of people. That's why the bonnet latch has always been within...
Actually I've asked the guys at EME to look into the bonnet release for me. As far as I'm concerned if any car company wants to make a car for the RHD market then do it properly. Not the half arsed job that they did. As for the white tail lights, that's got nothing to do with RHD and therefore...
I should also have mentioned how they do it. The console is cut at certain points to remove the section in question, then they rotate the cup holder section and place it to the left. The hand brake section is 3D printed and then all is glued in place and the leather covering is stretched over...
Hi Graham
My apologies, I should have thought to put one of those up. But because the post immediately after my first post included a photo of a converted console I overlooked adding mine to the post. I hope this is good enough to see properly. It truly has an OEM look.
I bought the car from an Adelaide dealer (Adrian Brien Ford) because of their proximity to EME. Then flew to Adelaide for delivery, drove the car 5km to EME and left it there for the work to be done. I flew back again 6 weeks later to drive it back to Port Hedland (Via Lakes Entrance, Victoria)...
