I've watched this thread, and thought I'd add my 2 cents:
I got my BS Chemistry degree '81 at the University of Texas-Dallas. I got a job working full time at Texas Instruments in their SRDL lab (SemiConductor R&D).
I scrimped and saved, drove a cheap car, and went to school w/10 to 14 hours...
In my experience, admittedly in my occasionally tracked 2015 Z/28 in a staggered setup.. where you have say 325 width fatter tires in the rear, and 305 width can produce noticeable understeer. The more rear-biased the tire setup the more understeer you'll see. The front tires lose traction...
I've got Pilot Cup 2s on a Z/28 and a Z06... no such wear issues here. I looked into them extensively when buying, real world owners on the street were talking 12,000 to 17,000 miles in use, w/nearly 10,000 when tracked occasionally.
My impression..here's a youngster with too much of daddy's...
Steve Prevatt..great guy, he's a corvette guy and while they work on GM, I'm sure he can dyne everything. He's great guy, very trustworthy.

It's just as easy to do 93 octane as it is to do 95 octane - and you can run a hotter tune. If you're in a state with E85 like me..Oklahoma-> I mix my own blends. to get either. FYI we don't have 93 octane, only 91 octane gas.
Prior to the 17 Mustang GT, I was running a focus ST as a daily...
Kevin loved the thread, used it to help understand the coyotes internals, since I'm new to this engine.
I did have a coupe of questions, based on work, as I didn't see some things I did in my NA build in I had done on an LS7 for durability and power... didn't notice if you chose special valve...
Larry in Broken Arrow, the Mustang- a '17 GT base, a 15 Z/28 SN0631, an 09 Z06, and my wife of 30 years. She drives a F150 Supercrew, and finally (we've still got it, but in the process of selling) a vintage 1992 3000GTVR4 w/o a scratch.
So no I'm not a bowtie troll, just an enthusiast...
you'll find me in several car forums. True I like the Z, more than that I love a 427, 6 sped TR6060 and a 3:90 differential with ceramic CF brakes...it just came in 09 with fibergalss and CF, and in '15 with the mustangs competitors sheet metal. I've got a '17 Mustang GT..love the Coyote engine...
Tulsa has pretty ad roads, there you pick carefully with the DSSV's, however Broken Arrow has better roads, much smoother. Much like Texas roads if you're familar with a state that has oil money to keep roads in repair. Hint don't form a hard opinion unless you've driven on DSSV's. The Z was a...
I have DSSV's on my 15 Z/28. Fact:they aren't too stiff or rough. Combine them with Michelin Sport Cup 2's for perfection. The Pirelli Trofeo R's would tram on the road following marks in the pavement,, tires that do not tram yet nearly match the trofeo-r's in weight are the key. handling is...
It always helps to KNOW whats been done and when.
Read the after-mentioned article on the LS7, by Hib Halverson.

Be aware the the Camaro Z/28 LS7 had no issues due to those...
If you had my ceramic brakes you'd find you're on the gas deeper into every corner, then brake hard and almost instantly start accelerating back out of curve. I can run away from ZL11LE's too, especially on a shorter twisty track. However the low end grunt of the LS7 is still there, and in...
Thanks for screenshot, I was hot, however on other forums I've treated Mustang and ford fans with respect. You guys have a thread, compare these cars, should I trade, then I reply what 4 to 5 times, and in the end, all the fan boys come out. I'd say bring that GT350 to Tulsa for Hallett, but...
I drive a mustang too, facts are facts..theGT350 was built with issues, sweeping them under the rug doesnt work. The track packs overheat, thats a fact and subject of a lawsuit.
Besides the question was Z06 or GT350...so its fair to access the abilites of each in a thread like that. Dont like...
