It took one day to dismantle and remove the rotors before painting, clean and wire brush the calipers and re-sanding the 2 calipers i messed up. Around a few hours to paint the calipers the next day. How about you?
Painted Calipers with G2 paint and applied some decals I printed with the cricut cutter. Had to sand down the paint I did before but was still not that smooth. The temperature was too cold and caused a lot of teardrops on my first attempt.
Hi,
Can anyone help with putting this wire back on the rear brake pad? The wire popped out when I took the rear brake cover off. I can’t seem to fit it back on properly. Are both the ends suppose to go in the pad holes? It doesn’t fit without stretching them hard.
Thank you!
That's what I showed the guy I spoke with from Ford Performances, he came back to me with a PDF file with the upgraded oil grade. I can send you the PDF file if you want.
I read the updated specification of oil (945-B1) updated in the later 2018 models and the 2019 models user model reduced LSPI.
I found this on the ford150 forum:
"The recent "B1" spec is a lower calcium formulation to theoretically prevent low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI), primarily in small...
So far from what I know is that the after market oils do not have the new ford WSS- M2C945-B1 specification required for the 2018 and 2019 mustangs stated in the user manual.
I spoke with ford performance and the 2018 mustang requires the 945-B1 specification oil now too. I also posted in blueoval forum in the tech section and someone suggested that the exact specification had to be used to avoid any warranty issues.
The thing is that when I went to the ford...
The ecoboost are great cars! Good MPGs when you want and plenty of power when you stomp on it.
I'm just playing it safe so I don't void the warranty after reading all the piston slap threads. I will update this thread if I get a reply from Ford and Pennzoil.
Thanks again! I took a look at the pdf of the platnium and it has the sn plus spec but it still shows the 945-A spec and not the B1. I sent an email to Pennzoil about the 945-B1 spec and to ford performance's live chat. They will email me after he talks to the engineers.
Really appreciate the detailed reply. Do you suggest I return the 945-A specification oil and wait for oils such as the pennzoil ultra platnium to be updated with the new spec? Or is it still safe to use the older specifications?
Thank you!
Hi everyone!
I am new to the forum and have a question about the new oil specification for the 2019 mustang gt. In the 2018 mustang owner's manual the oil specification is WSS-M2C945-A but for the 2019 the new spec is WSS-M2C945-B1.
Do you guys know what the differences of the 2 specs are...
