  2. Dropped my car off at the dealership because of a cylinder miss fire :(

What kind of fuel do you put in it out of curiosity? I had a CEL flash during hard acceleration extremely early on in my ownership with 87 octane, and I've never had an issue since (use 93 consistently).
  3. Rant time...what's the worst thing about your Mustang?

If you put the aux power back on and turn off the headlights, I think that essentially works around the issue? Definitely an annoyance though, in certain particular circumstances.
  4. The next refresh.....

I've actually received a positive comment specifically about the headlights.
  5. Speedometer in KM/H not in MPH

Apologies OP, bad assumption on my part.
  6. Speedometer in KM/H not in MPH

Do you not like the digital option in the center? I have ignored my analog speedometer from day one essentially.
  7. How many GTs are Owned by Seniors?

Honestly, I don't think I've seen another Mustang GT driver under the age of 40 in the ~7 months I've been driving mine. As a younger driver, we get shit for owning these cars as well, particularly from owners of BMW/Audi etc. The connotation being that it is immature, unrefined, lower class etc.
  8. The next refresh.....

Any possibility they put a DCT into the S550 GT similar to the Shelby? Or will they ride this 10 speed until the end of the generation.
  9. 2016 Mustang GT automatic, Sport mode is jerky when I downshift plz help it jolts forward

I just remembered also that I have the 10 gears to paddle and I believe you would have 6 correct? I probably have a little bit of extra quirk around that, but ultimately your same strategy works on mine as well. Happy someone here with a 10R80 gave me the push needed to get back into using the...
  10. 2016 Mustang GT automatic, Sport mode is jerky when I downshift plz help it jolts forward

I have been taking advantage of this favorable downshifting in paddle mode recently. The one judgement call is whether you will need to fully stop or not. If not, I find there is a window to manually downshift yourself before the car starts the automatic downshifting. If the car starts the...
  11. 2016 Mustang GT automatic, Sport mode is jerky when I downshift plz help it jolts forward

Have you tried forcing yourself not to let off prior to the downshift? Don't do anything inconsistent or different in the throttle as you upshift or downshift like you would in a normal car. Paddle the gears independently of your throttle input. Or, try giving more time before engaging the...
  12. Rant time...what's the worst thing about your Mustang?

    1. The transmission in general (10R80) - Too much shifting, paddles not responsive enough 2. Takes way too long to warm up, especially with a short commute. Transmission oil takes forever to warm up in the winter.
  13. 2019 mustang GT 6spd best 1/4 mile time with ROUSH stage 1 supercharger

Makes sense, thanks. I have been reading the actual warranty language, and am a bit concerned with this part: The Warranty Period for the 421823, 421983, and M-6066-M8627 ROUSHcharger®/Supercharger Kit(s) is as follows: • 3 years or 36,000 miles from the vehicle’s original in-service date as...
  14. 2019 mustang GT 6spd best 1/4 mile time with ROUSH stage 1 supercharger

Can someone who went the Roush route clarify if having Ford install allows you to keep your original warranty intact, or is Roush themselves providing a separate 3 year warranty and your original warranty is likely not applicable for any engine issues due to modification?
  15. Keep it stock

I'm really hesitant to do any serious mods like a supercharger due to the reputation that the 2018/19 models have. I unfortunately am not yet to the point in my career where I can afford to experience a blown engine outside of warranty and turn it into a project car.
  16. 7 speed DCT vs 10r80 for Drag racing? Road racing?

My preference is definitely to paddle shift, but I just wish it was a 6 speed configuration. When downshifting multiple gears as you describe, I have had issues where it takes way too long to incrementally go down through the gears, and I can't properly time my throttle input because of the...
  17. 7 speed DCT vs 10r80 for Drag racing? Road racing?

You paddle the 10 speed? How have you made that practical? I paddle shifted nearly 100% of the time when I had my VW GTI (DSG/DCT), but I've not been able to manage the 10auto.
  18. Cold Engine 1st Gear Throttle Input

Mine did the same thing when it's particularly cold, especially when it was newer, but it seems to have stopped doing it somewhere around 3500 miles.
