I own a 2015 mustang GT no problems yet , but every time I go to the three ford stealerships around me in Calgary Alberta Canada to get oil & filters I see engines and manual transmission's all over the place , sad state of affairs for consumer's , better off buying a Honda or Toyota sports car...
I love to this day the sound of the old school 390 cid ,and the 440 cid , the same reason I like the sound of my muffler delete 2015 GT rag top 6 speed manual trans . love old school engines , simple no computers just an oil , temp , battery light
Hi , its because Fords poor quality control ,there putting in the wrong size pistons there 0.005 smaller , and there bores are sprayed with plasma witch is also out of round, they should of went with steel inserts , here why , clip .
I must be one of the lucky ones , my 2015 never made this noise , I've got 20,000 km on it with 3 10/30 motor craft full syn oil changes and ford filter , that said its never gone over 4000 rpm. ,and I do my own o/c and fill the filter, , and its only used in the summer stored on my 4 point...
The best thing they can do is measure the rod journal beside the next cylinder and see if the surface is lager than the noisy one , THEN IT WOULD BE FORDS PROBLEM FROM THE CRANK MANUFACTUER , where's the quality control FORD ??
Hi I agree with you all the main rod journal's should have shoulders or bevels sloping toward the center to center the two connecting rods closer to each other,
