Hi Roger, vessel allocation for me was accurate from the date the vehicle was released from factory. If you read everyone’s posts it seems a common trend of between 12 to 15 weeks from build date to delivery at your dealer. My dealer advised me of my ship allocation, He got it through ford...
Hi John
My father worked for Ford for 40 years and in doing so qualified for the Ford Privileged Employees discount for him and his immediate family. It was only fitting to purchase through his local dealer to give the old boy a ride in it before taking it up north. FYI he bloody loved it.
The...
Finally the long wait is over, took delivery last week and just spent 4 days driving it from Geelong to Whitsundays.
If you look at the average fuel consumption it’s pretty impressive. Considering I did the same trip 3 years ago in a new Ranger Wildtrak that only got 9lt/100km.
A brutal run in...
Looks like there will be plenty of MY19’s hitting the shores of of Oz over the next 10 days, starting from today 3 ships are arriving from Baltimore all carrying Pony’s. Finally I’m starting to count down days instead of weeks to take delivery of my mid life crisis
Gday AL, I’m with Allianz who have no issues with insuring the vehicle when it arrives just no mods. Looking around $1200 pa with $1500 excess. I do have my current vehicle insured with them, but don’t know if it makes any difference!
Yes mate they’re cruising along somewhere out in the Pacific...
I know you hadn’t had any performance mods done , but Incidents like this make you think twice about getting any modifications done to your vehicle whilst it’s under manufacturers new car warranty. This could of turned into a real shit fight if any engine mod were done!! (Eg: who was at fault...
Apart from the Australian dealer I ordered my 19 Mustang through, is there any other way of checking through ford which ship my vehicle is on? Dealers delivery date just doesn’t seem right compared to other orders of the same time frame.
G’day Al
I’m jealous that your car is 2 weeks ahead of mine on a ship! Even though they have the same build date.
Did your dealer tell you which ship or the ford web message?
The count down is painful mate! Lol!
Just got my vessel allocation today, the Salome. ETA Melbourne, Nov 14.
That works out to be 15 weeks from blend date to arrival at Melbourne Port.
In other words 4 months wait from build until getting the keys.
G’day Al, my 19 had the same blend date, it was released from the factory on August 30. My latest delivery date to Melbourne is Nov 14.
You can see which ships are departing Baltimore by going to the 2w global web site and look at the schedules.
Here are two ships that it might be on.
Ford Aust haven’t got a clue where my GT is, released from the factory on August 2 twice been told its in what they call blackout which means it’s on a ship but don’t know which one. Only to be told this week it’s still waiting a ship allocation!
Next Tuesday will be 2 months since my MY19GT was completed, yet still no shipping schedule of when it will transported to Australia! It’s killing me!!
We will soon have the answers to everyone’s questions as I spoke in length today to John at Tickford about tuning my MY19 when it arrives in a few weeks time to Australia. I mentioned that most are very sceptical about the figures (which are measured off the engine).
To prove their point, they...
You have covered all the changes for the MY19.
I was lucky enough that my dealer made me aware back in April that the MY19 was coming to Oz only three months after the MY18 landing. I changed my order to the 19 but the only difference for the 19 is the B&O.
My 19 is waiting at the dock in...
No over the top stripes, but have spoiler option which is fitted afterwards according to posts.
Factory release August 30, there’s a ship loading in Baltimore on the 16th fingers crossed it might get there in time and have a slot for it!
Thanks Jimmy, that throws my thoughts out the window. Just hard to understand why the car would sit at the factory for over a month after production before being railed to dock for shipping? You would think with the high volume of builds that they would be getting them out of the factory yard...
