Glad to hear it is fixed.
This video is great, link could be posted/sticky-ed somewhere, it shows quite clearly the tick sound... it took me sometime to realize what it was.
I realize I had it for a couple of months too, but I thought it was a sort of pebble on the rear left suspension or wheel...
I do get some of those issues too. Been a few months now and the dealer is fixing one bolt at a time...
That’s cylinders 5 7 and 8 misfires
Crankshaft position sensor issue
And the last one is torque PCM error.
Quite a few... now this happens during HDPE sessions, it’s rare for them to trigger...
Hey man, ok, way over and took it maybe too personal.
“Rely” was the wrong word of choice. It’s a safety net, and it’s actually irresponsible to dive in first time with all of them off. Would rather use a bit of brakes than find myself in an awry situation... especially when learning. No, I’m...
The condescending tone here sometimes is nasty and vomit inducing.
Guys, use your nannies if you have to. Gradually turn them off (TC first, then SC) little by little while you get to know the limits of your car and current setup. If you change tires and/or suspensions put them on again, rinse...

I think part of the point missing is that stock vs stock could mean very little. If the stock civic came with tiny skinny tires for its weight and dimensions it would be tons of seconds slower also. A McLaren with tiny crappy skinny tires could also mean a slow car.
The Civic out of the box, lap...
I got a slightly modded GT and think I am a very conscious driver (after my first speeding ticket ever that is), but since day 1 I had noticed that cars around me want to zip by or change lanes, pass me over (left or right doesn’t matter) and get in front of me way way more than when I would use...
For what I found, depending on the wheels, there is a lot of leeway without needing spacers. It’s possible to even go 315/35/19 on the rears (unless you meant a strictly square setup?). I’m using LMR.com SVE R 350 replicas which are 19x11 and 19x10 and that can hold a lot of fire. The full tire...
THIS!
In my experience, the default tires the PP comes with are even downright dangerous for track use. They are too small for the car size, weight and power. After nearly crashing once (the tires can abandon you mid-grip/mid-turn instantly) I decided to go wider and better compound (not too...
I bought a ’17 GT Performance Pack.
After adding close to $15k on stuff (power pack 3, exhaust, ford racing track handling pack, GT350 replica wheel and track performance tires, assorted stripe and badge work, etc etc etc) I must say... I kinda regret all this and wish I had the budget for a...
Indeed, those numbers are scary and could very well drive me off an R. The car as it is edges on my budget limits, breaks the bank but doable (it’s an emotional decision)... but with those CF wheels potential future receipts, damn.
So, risking derailing the thread, are the CF wheels, finally, on...

Woah, loving these stories man....
Something that a lot of people would probably never understand. It’s really “not just a car”
Great stories, hoping to tell mine in the future. It begins with THIS, hearing you guys, getting info, experiences, working hard to save money... it actually motivates...
Why is the plant assembly is ceasing production of that engine? Isn’t it like a marvel of technology? Couldn’t it be pushed further and further? Makes me wonder, is the GT500 engine also flat plane?
Couldn’t agree more. It might be ok for driving out of the dealership to your home, work, groecery store... but once you hit a race track, things get tricky and dangerous. Downright dangerous. Going from Performance Pack ’17 wheels to LMR GT350R replicas NT05 made a world of difference. Lighter...
