  1. Having Ford install mods vs. local Performance shop

I'm going to be getting an upgraded transmission cooler installed for the coming track season and was thinking because I'm still in warranty and have the Ford ESP maybe it's better if I have upgrades like this installed by a willing dealer (if there are such). I know some performance shops...
  2. I'm Famous, sorta

While enduring this gray blah winter I totally forgot that during our last summer I attended the MCA Mustang day HPDE at our local road course (Putnam Park). Last summer MCA held their national show in my county fair grounds locale. Anyway while at the HPDE event one of their pro photographers...
  3. Another reason I love driving my Mustang GT

how Ford (warts and all) is committed to the Mustang in Racing.
  4. I went down the wrong "country road" yesterday.

Me and my gal were out for a nice fall drive yesterday, but failed to notice part of the drive was over a road they had just sprayed either oil or some preservative they use in the Midwest to keep asphalt from potholes. After cleaning the car I noticed the body panels still felt rough. I can...

  6. Track Oil redux

I know I've seen a thread out there about what weight oil is okay to run track and keep for street but darned if I can find it again. Anyone run a weight that works for both? The 2020 owners states using 5W-30 for track then switching to 5W-20 for street. Call me lazy but I can't see swapping...
  7. 2020 Mustang GT Automatic overheated at track

Here we go again on the tracking and fighting the heat issues. Recently I had my first really warm track day and as it happened I got flagged for "smoke" coming out on my 2nd session. TL:DR the transmission was leaking onto the drivers side exhaust making the smoke, I found pink drips from...
  8. The Brake pad thing again

It's almost time for new track pads, I currently am using PowerStop Trackl Day pads. They seem to of lasted fairly well so far. I looked back over the Hawk for my 2020 GT and they are double the price of the PowerStops, for Gloc and I can't tell because their web code keeps blowing up when I...
  9. Track days with/without EV's

There was a thread before when someone asserted that all tracks are now mixing EV's in with ICE. Just noted that one of the clubs I do events with definitely does not allow EV's. I know this can be a divisive subject but when you are spending decent money to have track time it just seems better...
  10. more EV regret from the previously enchanted...

and this guy has creds cause he's an actor (LOL) but still more of this is coming out the deeper gov't's and states want to charge ahead without considering the whole circuit of manufacture (and yes the puns are intended)...
  11. New lawsuit involving the A10R80 again

Noted this news dropped recently about the automatic trans. Myself I've had no issues I can point to so far. But keeping an eye on this in case it has "legs". https://jalopnik.com/ford-class-action-lawsuit-10-speed-transmission-1850387122
  12. New Track tires and wheels, will it fit?

I'm going to get a dedicated set of tires and wheels for track this year. I'm fairly set on the Apex EC-7 19"x10" 35's for a square setup. I keep seeing advice to go wide as you can but I wonder can my GT front handle 285/R19's? The Apex fitment and best track picks says you can go 275/R19 or...
  13. I just knew I picked right!

From Hotcars on the 10 Most Reliable Mustangs: The 2020 Mustang is part of the current sixth generation to come out of the Mustang stable, and it's got a redesign from the previous S197 platform to the S550 platform. It’s got a reliability rating of 88 and an overall rating of 85 from J.D...
  14. Does anyone know how to remove these seatbelt sensors?

I'm trying to fix/reset my driver side tensioner. Does anyone know how these sensor connections are removed? I have too long a track record of taking a screwdriver to connectors thinking they go this way and then crack, it's broke.
  15. 2020 GT convertible drivers side seatbelt tensioner is locked

Recently I was removing my Watson 4 point roll bar, which is removable. We had to loosen the seatbelt tensioner's on both sides to get the bar out. After screwing the torx bolts on the tensioners back in the drivers side belt is solid locked, won't budge. The passenger side works just like...

  17. Goodies for coming track season

I did a complete season with little to no "mods", now I have my winter project shopping list almost complete for the coming season. Yay! *note: I'm SURE someone is going to tell me how I could of gotten the XYZ thing cheaper but Steeda had the best springs for the Magneride so I just kept...
  18. How my first track season changed my world view...

I had my almost brand new 2020 GT convertible, Pilot Sport 4's only 4k miles on them, stock brakes still lots of meat on the pads, new roll bar, check, helmet, check, first time tools, check (too many of course), waters, fruit, snacks, chairs, check, check, check. Off I went to this HPDE thing...
  19. So the Mach-E is so good?

Ford Mustang Mach-E No Longer Recommended By Consumer Reports The Tesla-fighting electric SUV isn't reliable enough to keep CR's stamp of approval.
  20. That Convertible rear glass thing is happening but it's more severe

I've read the threads about hitting your rear quarter glass window with some silicone lube to get to close all the way but mine is a bit more severe. It will only go up 2/3rds and leave a pretty large gap not just that little bit extra. Ending up using my Track wrap so my lovely 2020 GT vert...
