i’m about to buy the rims and tires today, before I do, I wanna make sure I can run them (19x9.5 with 275/40ZR17) on the front with 5mm slip on spacers? then my front and back would be square.
might add a small spacer to the rear as well to make it even out
noted,
but I’m not a cheapskate, I just noticed the cords recently, haven’t been driving the mustang much since I have little kids and they only ride in the truck, and they have never been in the mustang. so the mustang has been in the driveway mostly
I found some lightly used OEM PP1 rear wheels & tires with TPMS sensors local to me for $700. which seems like a decent deal. but the tires are “michelin pilot sport all season 4”
wheels are 19”x9.5
tires are 275/40ZR19
if I run them on the car with my existing michelin pilot sport 4S, which...
the exposed chords are on the inner part of the front tires, pretty identical looking. i have not gotten it aligned other than the factory alignment when I bought the car new. It makes sense what you said about camber since I really haven’t pushed the car hard on corners much and haven’t taken...
i’ll look into the used wheels and see if I can find some. why go square when it was designed to be staggered? just for rotational purpose? I know you said it will handle great, but by adding spacers won’t that put more stress on other components and wear them faster?
yeah that’s true, that is what Ford chose and that’s what I was thinking as well, but I’m curious as to what others have done and have found out other than the stock setup, a lot of people have done different things and I haven’t been here for a while and want to learn if it’s worth trying...
has anyone tried the Firestone - FIREHAWK INDY 500
i’ve seen a youtube video on them and they were happy with them. they are significantly less expensive, i’m curious if they would be good
hey guys, it’s been a long time, 2 kids later i’m back on the forum! lol anyways, my 2018 GT PP1 with MagneRide (stock performance wise) has chords showing on the front tires after 5 years and 26K miles. the tires are the originals that came on the car.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (staggered)...
fool enough? sounds like a personal opinion to me which I don’t care for, I like them, so that’s that, and I am not going to put truck wheels/hubs and tires on it so that can go out the window as well. a simple set of spacers would work but i’m looking for more information from someone who has...
