  1. Are the gen 4 Coyote 5.0s no longer using the spray in cylinder linings

I just saw a Ford Master Tech on YOUTUBE saying that the Gen 4 Coyote 5.0s are no longer using the plasma spray in liners. Is this true and is Ford back to press in linings? I know that they switched back to a metal oil pan on the redesign but have not heard about this.
  2. Koni Adjustables or Bilsteins

I have a non PP GT Premium which has the 19 inch wheels. Looking to upgrade the struts and shocks soon. I have had good luck with both brands. On the s550, any input would be greatly appreciated. I like sporty driving but no track day with my car.
  3. Mustang GT 550 on Blue Bloods show on TV last week

Was watching on CBS the recent Blue Bloods police show and detective Danny Regan was driving a new Mustang GT in a base model this episode. It looked like a black or dark blue.
  4. Pirelli P Zero roaring noise

I have a set of P Zeros with 15K miles and these tires make a roaring noise at all speeds from 0 to 70+. The tires came on my 2018 GT from the factory and the rubber appears to be rock hard. Anyone else have this issue and did new tires correct the problem 100%. I am ready to go with...
  5. Keyless entry failing on passenger door

My 2018 GT just started to have a problem with the passenger door not unlocking with the keyless walk up feature. Driver's door work as it should. I tried each key fob but no difference. Any ideas before deciding to visit the dealer?
  6. Pirelli P Zero AS Tires tramlining

My 2018 GT Premium with 19 inch wheela and Pirelli P Zeros continues to tramline at 13k miles and with a full dealer foue wheel alignment. Anyone had this issue and fixed it with a different brand of tires? I have always liked Michelins but wanted to get some feedback before possibly making a...
  7. Tach turns bright red at 7K+

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to floor my A10 2018 GT while going 65mph. This event took place at night and I have the analog dash set up. The motor shot up to 7K+ rpms and the tach went from blue to bright red which I never experienced before. As the tranny upshifted, the tach...
  8. Mach 1 Gas guzzler tax!

I just saw a saw a new Mustang Mach 1 in the show room at the local dealer and this 6 speed model has a gas guzzler tax right on the window sticker. The A10 do not have the tax. The dealer could not explain it either. I assume that the 6 stick gets worse economy as compared to the A10 due to...
  9. Konis or Bilsteins?

I have a 2018 GT Premium and wanted to get some feedback on replacement struts and shocks. My car is mostly stock and the ride is choppy on medium to rough road surfaces. I have had both brands on previous cars and they significantly improved the handling and ride. Also I have 19 inch factory...
  10. Pirelli to Michelin AS3s anyone

I have a 2018 GT Premium with factory 19 inch wheels and OEM P-Zeros. The car has about 10k and seems to tramline all over the road. I have had the car aligned and have dropped the tire pressure down with some improvement but it still nibbles on certain roads here in New England. The...
  11. Grill Shutters..why, how, and when

I have a 2018 GT with the active grill shutters. Does anyone know when these close up and re-open? I have started my car in winter cold days and they are open so they do not aid in fast warm ups. On the highway they are supposed to close off for aero but at what speed does this happen, what...
  12. Oh no, here comes the cylinder deactivation nonsense.

I just read that Ford will be offering the 5.0 Coyote V-8 in the 2021 F-150 with the dreaded cylinder deactivation technology. Going from 8 to 4 cylinders yields a 1% improvement in fuel economy according to Ford. This mistake cannot be too far off for the Mustang Coyote as they share the same...
  13. Ford Performance Catch Can Shelby GT500 and HiPo 200 amp Alternator

I just read on the Ford Performance website that they have a GT 500 Catch Can that drains back into the motor eliminating the need to manually emptying the can. It comes standard on the carbon track pack models and can be purchased for other Shelby cars. They are also selling a Hi-Po 200 amp...
  14. Factory Front Strut Failures at low mileage

I have a 2018 GT with the standard suspension and factory 19 inch wheels. Two weeks ago I noticed oil leaking under my car on the front driver's side. I put the car up on rams and found that the front driver's strut was blown and leaking oil everywhere. My local dealer replaced it under...
  15. Active grill Shutters

I have a 2018 non PP GT with the active grill shutters. I cannot figure out when these close up. I have looked at them in real cold weather figuring they may help with warm up but these are always open. At highway speed they must close up for aero gain but I cannot feel any difference in the...
  16. Two horns , one horn

I just read in the MCA magazine that Ford had dual horns in the 2018 Mustangs but has gone to a single horn for 2019 / 20. The single sound like a cheap import the article says and the writer checked out several cars and all the 2019s had one horn. He ordered the dual set at a Ford dealer for...

Check out www.autoline,TV for a 30 minute interview, with the chief engineer on the Shelby , Carl Widmann. Yes these cars do "use oil" he says reluctantly.
