  1. AC making a loud noise

The noise doesnt go away as soon as I turn off the fan, usually takes about 3-4 minutes before it eventually goes away. If I do not turn on my fan at all while I drive, its quiet. I know I said AC in my post but I think its the fan. But i'll investigate a bit more and post here.
  2. AC making a loud noise

Exactly! At the end of the day, its no inconvenience but I am concerned if something might get worse if unchecked. But its loud.
  3. AC making a loud noise

Nothing looked off to me when I opened the hood. But I am not necessarily an expert. The reason I think its the AC/fan is because when it turn it off, the noise goes away after 3-4 minutes.
  4. AC making a loud noise

Hello All, I need help with something thats driving me crazy over the past one month. My car AC is making a loud noise (sounds like the fan is making it) which almost sounds like a big turbine running. Not sure if it's just me notificing it now but it does not sound normal to me. I took it...
  5. Wives & 'Stangs

My girlfriend has a love hate relationship with the car. She hates how low it is and how she cannot see the road ahead (she is not that tall). Plus getting in and out of the seat is a bit of a struggle for most people. But she loves the car for me. I thought about getting a truck or an SUV...
  6. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

Ah I see your point. But I dont think you understand my reason for getting the car. Yes, associating yourself with materialistic things is not the way to go but that was never what I had in mind. When you dream of something for so long, there is a feeling attached to it. There are so many fast...
  7. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

Coming from a V6, there is a big difference even in lower RPM Tuning the car can always fix that issue. However, I want to wait until I have driven it stock for long enough so that I can appreciate the change P.S- not sure if your comment was sarcasm or are you actually unhappy with the power...
  8. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

Thats the plan! In my early thirties so do not have a LOT of time but still some time before I have kids and they grow up and the back seats start getting too small
  9. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

Right now I am thinking about an exhaust and racing stripes. Over time, I would install the front grill with LEDs from RTR. However, the very first expense would be a nice set of winter tires cause it gets crazy up here in nation's capital.

  12. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

Amen to that! Yes I have been a fan for muscle cars ever since I saw Dukes of Hazzard. Dont even remember the movie but the muscle car sound stuck in my head. It was only later that I realized that it was actually a charger but I was already in love with mustangs by then.
  13. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

You point is completely valid. However, 200/month for insurance was just me trying to explain how my insurance will change. $40 a month+gas wouldn't be a big deal tbh.
  14. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

That insurance is for a scenario if the car is totaled. I agree that its good to have and I might just keep it. I was just being descriptive of the changes since others mentioned that insurance is gonna spike.
  15. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

*update So I checked and the insurance premium will not change for me. It is actually going to be less because I will not longer be paying car replacement insurance. ($200 per year approximately) This leaves the extra money I will be paying for gas and that extra 40 dollars a month. I have...
  16. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

Last time I checked with my insurance provider - the insurance was 1 dollar more per year. Don't know how they gave me that quote. (this was an year ago) I understand that fuel economy wont be as good as a v6 but I considered that already. I think it all comes down to how much patience I can...
  17. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

Thank for all the input guys. I mentioned Hybrids because there might not be any regular GT after 2020. Keeping a V6 does look like a sensible idea based on general consensus.
  18. Trade in v6 for a gt performance pack

I apologize for not mentioning this before but a trade in would in fact add 2 more years to my finance term. I am happy with the v6 but I am not sure if I would feel the same for the next 4 years. Not enough low end power and I can't convince myself to mod it. Here is what my over optimistic...
