  1. 2018, 2019, 2020 Mustang GT experience

I traded in my 2018 GT a few months ago at about 7,500 miles. I decided that it was way more car than I wanted and I got frustrated that there were not many places where I could go full throttle. It was also too nice a car to make into a dedicated race car with a roll cage and other safety gear...
  2. Looking for person in the Dayton, OH area that bought my white 2018 GT

That's my next step, Bikeman. The dealer probably won't give me their contact info so I'm hoping that the dealer will contact the buyer and pass along my number so that they can call me if they would like the stuff. I know that if I was the buyer I'd like to know what was all was done to the car...
  3. Looking for person in the Dayton, OH area that bought my white 2018 GT

Boy, I wish the dealer had offered me $32k! Mine was an '18 base GT with 301A pkg, 10-speed auto, 3.55, spoiler delete and it had 7,900'ish miles. Plus a bunch of suspension mods. The Chevy dealer here in the Detroit area where I traded it gave me $26,500. They put it on their lot the next day...
  4. Looking for person in the Dayton, OH area that bought my white 2018 GT

At the beginning of September, I traded in my 2018 white Mustang GT VIN ending in 5502 at Hamilton Chevrolet in Warren, MI. About a week later it was purchased and it appears the buyer is located somewhere near Dayton, OH, according to CarFax. If you bought this car or if you know who did...
  5. What does everyone think reuse of LE wheels

I just installed a set of the 19x8.5's that have been refinished in a PVD black chrome. I don't really like the original black and machined look but I think they look killer in the solid PVD finish.
  6. Cell phone holder / mount

I just got the new Weathertech CupFone and it's great for a cupholder style phone holder.
  7. Do you take cell phone pics constantly of your s550 ? Post them here !!!

With my second new set of wheels in about a year.
  8. Still happy you bought a 10 sp auto?

Mine is a mostly nice weather car that I bought to use as a performance Grand Touring car - basically for road trips. But I found that if I drive it sanely on the highway at no more than 2 - 3 mph over the speed limit it gets great mileage. Around town is a different story because once warmed up...
  9. Still happy you bought a 10 sp auto?

Put in drive - step on the accelerator - go. The 10 speed automatic is one of the top reasons that I bought my GT. My car has the optional 3.55 axle and I suppose the feel of the transmission could be different with the 3.15. But I love the way mine shifts lightning fast. It's just awesome. My...
  10. Damn, I love this 18 GT PP A10!

I love my '18. I purchased it as a fun, long distance, touring car. Took delivery in May 2018 and now have over 6k miles on it. It's not my daily driver so I'll be prepping it for winter storage in the near future. The 10-speed automatic is fabulous especially when teamed up with the 3.55 rear...
  11. "Suitcase" resonator questions...

We're both from the same time-zone and looking for that old-school muscle car sound from the 60's - 70's. (I'm now 63!) And, yes, the videos never really seem to sound like the real deal and that's what makes it so hard to hear what a car really sounds like.
  12. "Suitcase" resonator questions...

Cool - thanks for the detail! That's the kind of sound that I'm looking for, too. However, I'm surprised with my '18 non-active valve exhaust how loud it is on cold start with H-pipe and stock mufflers. So if the touring is about 20% louder than stock then it's going to be pretty loud. Yes...
  13. Impressive GT fuel economy!

au contraire! I do stay out of the left lane except to pass. In fact, on this trip, I probably spent more time in the right lane than any other. One of my part-time retirement jobs is driving big trucks so I'm pretty sensitive to not being a fast lane blocker...
  14. Impressive GT fuel economy!

If I can keep my foot out of it most of the time I'm hovering around the 22 - 23 mpg area which I also think is pretty darn good. And that's probably close to a 50/50 mix of city/highway driving.
  15. "Suitcase" resonator questions...

I just installed a resonator delete H-pipe and am still on the stock (2018) mufflers and it sounds great, especially at cruising speeds on the highway. It reminds me of the way everyone's cars sounded back in the 70's - I'm 63 - but still having car fun. I didn't experience any drone at all and...
  16. Impressive GT fuel economy!

I just returned home from a 2k mile round-trip road-trip from my home near Detroit to Steeda in Valdosta, GA in my 2018 GT. The only mods prior to leaving are a new aFe Pro-S dry replacement air filter and my lighter than stock wheels/tires. When I left the car had less than 2k miles on the odo...
  17. 2018 gt a10 gear drive whine?

Mine does it, too, with the 10-speed auto and I like the sound.
  18. Opinions on the 2018 base cloth seats

Yes! (I also wish Magneride was available as a standalone option that didn't require the PP). For me, my current car with Magneride added would be ideal.
  19. Opinions on the 2018 base cloth seats

My car has the 301A pkg and I didn't want the extra expense of leather and didn't want the restrictive, although supportive, feel of the Recaro's, so stayed with the base cloth. And they are awesome! I'm 5' 11" and about 225 and they fit me perfectly and are super comfortable. I have absolutely...
  20. Firehawk Indy 500 tires

Today I mounted my new, lightweight, Enkei TS-9's and Firehawk Indy 500's on my car - I like these a lot - especially for the $$. Because I'm building my car up as a touring/street car and because of the crappy metro-Detroit area roadways, I decided that I didn't want a 40 or lower series...
