Is this issue affecting 2017's as well? I read through a few pages (not 110 of them!) and see mostly people with 2015-2016 cars with this issue.
Mine is a later 2017 build (February 2017) and I'm nearing the end of my 3/36, though I did buy it CPO and have that extra year of warranty... anyone...
My story is funny because it went from 0 to 60 *real* quick...
My dad had used to drag race in a Mustang (he had a modded '71 Mach 1) before I was born and often talked about that car longingly while I was a kid, but the Mustangs of my childhood (Foxbody and S-95) just never did it for me...
Normal, Track, and Snow/Wet modes seem fairly self-explanatory... my question is:
What's the difference between just putting the shifter on "S" (i.e., regular Sport mode), switching the toggle to Sport+ with the shifter on "D," and switching the toggle to Sport+ with the shifter on "S"?

I had my dealer use my computer, so we're all good! Would there be any benefit to having someone in the car with me (w/ the computer on their lap) monitoring as I drive, or would they see pretty much exactly what I'd see if I just looked at the entire log AFTER my drive?
So, I could just plug in the ProCal tool, fire up the software while on my driveway, set it to record, go for a drive, and then stop recording when I get back home? Seems easy enough... thanks!
What Air/Fuel Ratios do 5.0 owners with the FP PP2 typically see?
My digital gauge usually shows AFR somewhere between 13.9 and 14.4 at idle and cruising at low rpms, which seems a little bit rich.
The rest of my mods are in my signature, in case that matters... thanks!
The legitimately better performance of the 18/19MY has me thinking about upgrading from my 17MY, but I just do not like two aesthetic elements in the refreshed version:
1) The front end, especially the headlamps -- it has been discussed ad nauseam, but I just like the look of the 15-17MY version...
I think the EB is pretty fun, actually, even as a vert. My very first experience behind an S500 was a rental EB vert that I drove going south on the Pacific Coast Highway. That's an amazing drive in almost any car, and the S550 EB was a blast. I liked it so much that I decided to get my first...
Ford doesn’t include it standard because it requires regular maintenance (emptying out) which people wouldn’t do. Not emptying out at least every 5K Miles or so would cause issues, so it’s not worth the hassle and extra cost for them.
Only mods I've done so far are:
- Ford Performance Power Pack 2 (GT350 CAI, GT350 throttle body, and calibration) - HIGHLY recommended, makes the car way more fun even for daily driving
- Ford Performance high flow air filter (manufactured by Airaid) -- way nicer than the paper filter that came...
Auto or manual? Would it make a difference?
You have almost my exact set-up. 2017 5.0 with 3.55 gears, FP PP2, FP blue filter, MBRP Street cat-back (plus a few suspension upgrades that wouldn't make a difference here).
They don't put one stock because people wouldn't clean it out (needs to be cleaned out every few thousand miles). If you don't clean it out, it will clog and completely F up everything... so, too much liability for stock. But if you're someone who's going to clean it, it keeps all that nasty...
