Has anyone done much datalogging with the Procal 4 yet? I suspect I am seeing some knock after installing the new power pack on my 19 GT with an A10. Ford Performance hasn't been especially quick to replying to emails, so I'd like to see what I can figure out on my own. I don't see a knock PID...
Mine is showing up tomorrow, I'll have to time myself and see where I end up. Granted, I already removed my soundtube, which is probably the worst of it. The rest is looks pretty straightforward.
Doesn't the Procal 4 allow for datalogging? I imagine you could do some tests with and without...
Has anyone figured out what the additional steps outside of FORscan are for 19ās yet? Before I go down this path, I want to be able to make sure my dealer can help.
There is no restriction on saying that I work for a supplier of hardware on that engine. I have not exchanged any technical data of the hardware, nor do I possess any technical data outside of work. Everything I have said is public knowledge.
The ISO standard for a baseline fastener torque is to achieve 75% of the tensile loading required to yield the fastener. This value is a calculation based on the yield strength of the fastener material, and the minimum cross section of the fastener. Since like minor diameter of a fine thread is...
From a preload perspective, a fine thread bolt should be torqued more. Itās minor diameter is larger than a coarse thread bolt, so itās strength in tension will be higher. The problem though, is the risk of pulling the threads out in softer materials.
As to torque values for spacer/hub...
I donāt have a dog in this fight of spacers vs no spacers, but I would like to throw in that torque specs are typically a function of the fastener diameter, thread pitch, lubed vs dry, and fastener grade. This is to ensure that the fastener is preloaded adequately. In some applications (like a...
I canāt speak for 285ās, but I have 275ās in the rear, which should be pretty close to the contact patch of the 285. The 275 is a bit narrower, but itās also taller, which gets you back the contact patch you loose from the width. No issues with the rear of the car wanting to hydroplane. I canāt...
I just have the stock 18+ PP1 Michelin PS4s, and they actually did great in the rain this winter (I live in Kent). They are useless in the snow however. I didnāt have a problem with it because I also have a beater I can use, and I could get a ride into work. When they wear out, Iāll probaby get...
