Ok. After trying to update the firmware multiple times finally it got upgraded successfully. All I had to do was to master reset before upgrading the firmware.

Thanks. On Mac OS if we use the default file extractor, The folder path is not preserved. So I had to use archive extractor utility or terminal to unzip the file. Now it's clear. But after I started updating my car's software it was stuck at "Updating system software" for 1 hour 5 minutes and...

I downloaded the zip file for my 2016 mustang from the OP. But after I extracted the zip file there are multiple tar.gz files inside it. Which one should I copy to the USB driver? or Should I copy all the tar.gz files?
