I'm in Michigan and my build date/week is 5/28. My salesman said I should have the car by the 2nd week of June. This might dictate that I need to request brochures a little earlier.
This link has more information about the ordering and scheduling process.

Today's update...after checking cotus for nearly 2 weeks and seeing an F-150 rather than my Mustang, this morning I got this message: "A matching vehicle could not be determined. Please contact your dealer to get status updated about your order". I then checked with Ford Performance chat, who...
To be clear, I'm not expecting the car to be delivered this week, this month, or even in April. Based on the timeline I've seen others experience, it's not unreasonable to get a VIN within 2 weeks after getting a dealer order aknowledgement. I'm past 2 weeks and have nothing. COTUS shows my...
My salesman told me the other day that they had requested to use their last 2 allocations to have my car and another built. They have yet to receive a reply on the allocation request.
Sounds about right. No facts and lots of confusion. I just tried the Ford Performance chat again, with no real answers.
I asked about a potential wheel supply issue affecting 2018 Mustang production. Here is most of the conversation:
Matt K says: Hello Jeff. Not that I am aware of. Keep...
I quoted him word for word. "Anything with a PP" were his words, in an email. He also stated that an Expedition he ordered around Christmas still hasn't arrived, and he's not sure they even got a VIN yet. Sounded like a similar wheel restraint issue.
I just received an update through my salesman, and I'm not happy about it. I basically told him that it's bad business for Ford to not let people know what is going on with our orders, and he agreed. This is what I was told: "This is all due to a wheel supplier restraint." And that according to...
Your point is a good one. When my salesman told me he wouldn’t drive with those tires unless it was 60 degrees, it was a big reason I chose the PP1. I was under the impression they were talking about trouble getting the wheels, rather than the tires. But who really knows?
My order is for a PP1, so it is possible, and I’m thinking you may be correct. I originally planned to order the PP2, but settled on the PP1 for a few reasons. While discussing the options with my salesman, the manager/vehicle order guy stopped by to introduce himself. I was interested in how...
I ordered 10 days after you and still no VIN. Ford Performance chat told me the build date is 4/18 when I asked last week. I asked them again yesterday and I was told there is no build date yet, and there never was one.
When I emailed my salesman yesterday, he said they were waiting for a reply regarding their request to use their last 2 allocations to have the car I ordered and another built. Their request had not been declined or approved, and I have heard nothing today. It seems the dealers are not getting...
