Wow.. The fanboys are out in droves...
For MY Mustang GT, I chose the base model. Has everything I wanted, without extra stuff that doesn't hold a lot of value to me.
We have several other cars with leather, and do appreciate really fine leather, but not the type in the Mustangs...
Good for you! Glad you like the deal you got.
I didn’t really care for the “premium” option.
I wanted cloth seats, and not a lot of gadgetry.
When I feel like I want to drive something fancier, I drive my Aston Martin or vintage Mercedes SL.

Why's that? Mustang's are cheap. My 2017 GT, new-off-the-dealer's-lot was only $29k. A two year old one was still worth around $24-25k. Why not spend those measly nickles to get brand new, full warranty, and most of all, no prior owner knuckleheads driving my car. EcoBoost, V6? :thumbsdown...
That's a bummer. Ours is in top condition, and a superb race car. Never has had a DNF...
My old GT6 did tend to throw rods through the block at 7,000 rpm... :sunglasses:
Guess a Mustang 6-cylinder would make a decent LeMons car. :like:
Street racers are idiot wannabe's. And "racing" a V6 Mustang versus a Mustang GT? Delusional...
Come to a real race track and race me & my Triumph Spitfire with its 1147cc 4-cylinder. Your 6-cylinder Mustang will be a long, long ways behind a real race car with a real race driver...
Ha! Yep, I didn't even know I wanted it until I drove my wife's 2018 Highlander. No big deal though, my Aston Martin doesn't even have Bluetooth...
I bought the Mustang as a basic daily driver, errand runner.
I had recently sold my Mercedes E550 coupe. Was looking to get either a new Mercedes coupe, or another Porsche.
My pal suggested I drive a new Mustang, and I did. Was impressed by the overall package: power, handling, ride, etc. Sure, it has a fairly crude & primitive interior, but for a...
Which is really fine for me. I primarily own and drive neat cars because I like the driving experience, not because I want to make an impression. I guess that's why I don't bling them out with add-on spoilers, stripes, etc. Simple & clean, like my race cars. (oops, they have "racing"...
I've only gotten positive comments about my Mustang. And usually from younger guys who appreciate the 5.0...
Get a lot of good comments in our 450SL, and just get stares when I drive my Aston Martin DB7... :sun:
HPDE...
I bet these Mustangs would be a hoot on track.
We don't do "track days", we do vintage sports car & Formula V racing (and the occasional LeMons races...)
Before any racer turns a wheel on the track, he or she has fully accepted that they may well lose their car this time...
Far, far off topic, but who cares...
One thing thing that's often conveniently overlooked in these circular discussions, is that you have to pay tax on the investment returns made in the stock market. (Assuming they're made outside of an IRA, 401k, etc...) So that 7% return is really only 4 or...
Good stuff, thanks. Always interesting getting the secret lingo of the various car cults.
Just took a dedicated BMW fanatic to dinner in my totally stock, automatic Mustang, and he was completely digging it. These simple cars are a gas...
I kid about the seemingly goofy mods, but you...
Clutch spring?
To a car guy / gearhead, that means the spring part of a clutch assembly that pushes the disk onto the flywheel.
You guys are talking about a little spring on the clutch pedal... This is something for "high performance" driving, like the hood struts & eight ball shift knobs?
