I'm interested to see if this is really any different than the Ford Performance magneride kit minus it not having the extra sway bars. At the price the Ford kit seems a bit better.
Still wish they would just sell the flash by itself. Would rather get the FP Sways with BMR springs and a flash...
Need some help. This past weekend i did some mods pp2 front splitter and rtr upper (with lights) and lower grill. Once i got everything on the car i took it for a 10 minute drive parked and got out of the car. I noticed when I went to lock it using the key fob, the horn did not sound. I got back...
is the Upper splitter that comes with the M-16601-MPP kit the same as the PP1 upper splitter? I want to add the lower pp2 splitter but need to replace the upper splitter on my PP1 as it sadly got damaged last night :(
I enjoy both, I just happened to get into MLs before I ever listened/knew about magnepan, so I may go to them one day. Right now I'm trying to get into McIntosh amps but the price is a bit painful.
I all for mods but I respect keeping the car stock. Just curious on a eco over GT? I'm not...
Coming from a 2018 GT A10 with Magneride its definitely a fun combo, never drove an eco but I'd go the high performance package seems like a fun package.
Magnepan + Mcintosh is an awesome set up. Coming from Martin Logan electrostatics I'd stick with the basic set up your never going to match...
For magneride I think the best two options would be getting the FP mag kit or the GT350R bars with BMR magneride springs.
I'm probably going FP but I wish they would sell the calibration separately people rave about the BMR springs
Anyway of getting some readings of the active exhaust while put back together with a multi-meter or oscilloscope? Try and see what voltages you get when switching modes and while in certain positions. For some reason i would think it runs off more than 5 volts. It may be 10V, 12 may be...
I mean you can run the upgraded bars and springs without the firmware, doing it prior should not mess the car up in anyway. Personally I wouldn't do it until the day of the install but I am truly curious if the tune makes a difference and this kit is worth the price tag over just going with BMR...
Essentially the flash is just putting the car to PP2/GT350 calibrations. The springs and bars with that kit are upgrades for both the PP2/350. The only thing I could see is the car may feel a bit off as it will be set for different spring rates and the stiffer bars compared to stock. Personally...
Depends on how much noise you mind. Typically I would say FP track dampers or Steeda pro dampers with BMR handling springs, along with either Steeda's stop the hop kit or BMRs CB005 with Ford's toe to knuckle bearing. Lastly probably bigger wheels and tires with a proper alignment. This should...
Get MR if you think you may get into road courses. It is a major plus with DD but not needed for drag strip. It doesn't harm times if you get it but its almost 6k (PP1 & MR) you can be putting towards the Whipple.
Would just stick with what you got for now and build off of that, there are plenty of aftermarket shocks or coil overs that rival the magneride system. If you were in the market for a new car I would get the magneride. Your gonna lose more than you will gain trading a 19 for a 19 with magneride.
