  1. Ford guy Chevy guy or car guy?

Same here. I've been an import guy for a while, but there are a number of things that drew me to the Shelby.
  2. Prices holding pretty well. Compare to RS3

The underwriters of the aftermarket warranty I bought for my 2004 911 would agree. :D German cars are a joy to drive, but a bad one will drain your wallet faster than alcoholic stripper with a gambling problem.
  3. Prices holding pretty well. Compare to RS3

I'm with you. I considered an RS3 before buying the GT350. We live in the mountains, so it's a much better fit for us, but I had my heart set on the Shelby. My wife hates the Recaros, so she won't even ride in the Shelby. I pointed out a RS3 the other day and she said "I bet the seats in the...
  4. Bridgestone RE-11

HPDE = High Performance Driver Education.
  5. Bridgestone RE-11

I run these on my STi and they're a good street tire. I haven't done any track days on them, just spirited mountain driving. YMMV.
  6. My New GT350 (Shadow Black) Intro

Beautiful car. The GT350 looks great in dark colors with no stripe. How was life with the GT-R? Like you, I am (was?) an 'import guy' and considered one before buying the Shelby.
  7. GT350 NADA Valuation

There's your answer. The more they lend you, the more they make in interest, up to the point at which the value of the asset (aka car) does not overly exceed the value of the loan. The dealer, OTOH, has a vested interest in reducing the initial investment (trade) in order to maximize profit...
  8. Daily driver

OP - good on ya for driving the car year round & it seems like you're doing what you can to mitigate corrosion. I ride the middle ground. My car wears snow tires (Michelin Pilot Alpine 3&4) in the winter, but I don't take it out when there's snow on the road. We get a bunch of snow, but we...
  9. Voodoo Pallet Engines from Mustang Wrecking Yard

Indeed it would. Nice NC, BTW. I traded my ND on the GT350 and have owned at least one of each generation miata.
  10. Voodoo Pallet Engines from Mustang Wrecking Yard

A Voodoo in a wagon would be fantastic. A Voodoo in *that* wagon would be epic. I was thinking of something smaller. Pure motoring bliss for the ~42 seconds it would take for me to kill myself:
  11. Asking price advice- 2017 GT350 w/1800 miles

As a data point, I recently paid 51.5K for a flawless, single owner, track pack equipped 2016 with 2800 miles. It's Oxford White with a black roof and no stripes. Given that, ~53K for yours seems reasonable. That's a sweet deal. Here in CO, you only get the tax credit if you trade.
