@LevittownFordParts Also interested in pulling the trigger FPP2 - M-9603-M8A - next week. Doesn't show out of stock, are they available to ship soon? Any holiday sales this weekend?
Thanks in advance !
Looking to go PP2 with e85 options as well. What is the best way to manage the tunes? Would you need to use the Ford ProCal tool to return to stock, then use a different tuner device (like a SCT) to load the Lund or any other e85 tune?
Or, is there a way that the SCT device can manage both...
Jr. did say something about passing on the cost to customers. But more expensive and less flexible but not supporting other tuning devices. Doesn't seem like a decent support model, long term.
I was looking at the GTX from SCT as well. Was going to buy in advance of getting a tune from Lund.
Based on the thread noted above, think I am still going with the GTX...but will get a custom E85 Flex from someone else.
Is it just me or did Lund's prices also go up. Thought it was under $700 for a SCT x4 tuner and 1 custom tune. Now its $1200 with a HP RTD? The HP RTD tuner is only $300.
So they charge near double , and lock out the ECM?
Been maintaining her coat with a good wash and some Adams CS3. Also finally got both the Uniden R3 and Blackvue 900 setup. Was surprised I could fit both Blendmounts together on the mirror post.
Installed Blackvue dr900 2ch dash cam. Using a blendmount for the front instead of sticking the windshield. Love the setup. At first I set it up to run off the 12v at the bottom of the console. Parking mode stayed on for over 45 mins...not sure why.
2nd day I hardwired the Power Magic...
Yes, what I understand. I see videos of iphones hooked up to sync 3 , version 3, and waze shows up just like fordpass and other native apps to sync.
However, it appears android auto is still required, and the phone to be plugged in , at least for my note 10
Follow up... nonNav update took 20 minutes, super smooth.
No lag so far after update
But, cant get Sync to recognize Waze natively. Working on that now.
UPDATE - 2017 GT Non-NAV - Download miraculously available today !!!! But there may be more to this....
After weeks of checking the 'Sync update' on owner.ford.com, including yesterday...I decided to finally just reach out to Ford support during a CHAT session. I provided my VIN and the...
PM'd you back. Thank you for the info, was able to get a different kit. Will continue to see if these will work..and will update the thread with what we found.
Thanks again !
Agreed, other VINs I tested with non-NAV systems, also fail to find an update on the page. Maybe its just not available yet for non-Nav systems .. for 2017. Oh well.
Thanks! I can confirm that I can add and remove the VIN to my account when searching for a valid update to 3.0. Again, my only concern is that an update w/NAV can be used on mine..since I don't have NAV.
Also, details on the file that was presented to download:
JR3T-14G381-AM.zip - not...
Thanks for the advice. I tried the idea, was able to download, but was for NAV systems. I have a non-Nav setup, and other non-Navs also did not return a v3.0 for download. I'm guessing its only out for Sync v3 w/Nav. I'll also assume I should not install the update w/NAV on a non-Nav setup...
I keep seeing people asking for the update package , that have a '17 non-nav system and owner.ford.com update site says that no update is available.
Anyone have ideas on how to get non-Nav , '17s to update if the website says one is not available? I am on Sync3 v2.3 and would like to get to...
