Well, that would explain it. I guess the prior guy was using something harsh to clean his wheels. I only use good quality auto soap to clean wheels and calipers. Probably go for the R calipers at some point or have these painted or coated an interesting color.

11,000 miles. Look great but the black calipers are severely faded looking at this point. Not sure what is up with that.

I've got the same problem. Lower speeds steering wheel turned. Sounds like it is coming from the rear wheel areas but I haven't taken it for a spin in a few weeks to confirm. First noticed it on a right hand turn slightly uphill inside my neighborhood.

I actually gave up my 997 GT3 for a GT350. I can't afford both and frankly the GT3 was more than I could realistically afford to track. I have not tracked my GT350 yet so I can't compare much. I think the GT3 screams more sound-wise and has a far better build quality. The interior is far nicer...

Pulled after. I had the oil filler cap open during draining and during the filter removal as well. Maybe I got unlucky :frusty:

I tried the gallon Ziplock bag trick around the filter but there was a ton of oil coming out of there and that quickly backfired on me. I'll have to try the other trick next time to funnel the oil downward instead. It is times like these that I really want that lift I've been dreaming of... I...

Or maybe black stays in stock longer because nobody wants it...

Could be a default order color? I work for an OEM and all of our allocations are black until the dealer enters their initial configuration.

Just did mine. A complete mess despite my best efforts to keep it clean. I was able to barely fit my ubiquitous 20-150 ft-lb Craftsman torque wrench with a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter and the Amazon filter wrench on to torque the filter. There were quite a few rotations after hand tight before it...

Any updates? Anyone running the new ratio yet? US Gear seems to have a bunch over 4.11 for the 8.8" rear.

I pulled the spring entirely on my 2012 GT and really preferred the extra effort and linear feeling. I only had the car for about 25k miles if I recall and never tracked it so I don't know if there would've been any problems later on. I'd like to just pull the springs on the GT350 clutch...

Actually, yes. I posted on the GT350 Facebook group and someone was kind enough to send me the report (without me asking or even being aware of such a thing) along with some other internal system screenshots. It had the recall done and no other warranty work was needed.

I would totally be OK with this myself. When I sell or trade I am completely transparent, so I would welcome it.

As it turns out, the first guy traded it in on a new Raptor within 3k miles. I'm guessing he got lucky on the allocation and decided to go for it. Second guy says they had a baby surprise and needed a 4 door as a result. Who really knows but I got it on a lift and it hadn't seen a track...
