I heard Ford wanted like $2.5k for the carbon trim?

I just ordered this part...I hope to god it fits!

In my experience with them, if you aren' t prepared to wait at least 2 months before starting to worry about it, i wouldn't do business with this company. I think they are buying the parts from China and the whole world is jacked with Corona right now so 2 months is probably conservative.

Has anyone ordered from https://carbonplug.com/s550carbon ? I bought a matte carbon coin tray a few years ago from them. It took about 6 weeks to get it but the quality was nice. Now I am looking at their PP gauge dash kit which is not inexpensive. I just don't want to get burned or wait 3+ months.

This is my first DSP but from my research one of the very best. Check 'Car Audio Fabrication' on youtube for tons of reviews of this and other AudioControl products. Not cheap however.....

Its an interesting concept. I'd have to see how much room there is to work with behind the midrange driver. I like to PVC cup idea.

It is going to be difficult to get any level of a sealed enclosure on the door panel. I think my third phase of this install is going to be custom pillars with both mid and tweeter together.

I’m using a JL c-7 in that spot which fits tight already and it’s 3.5 inch. Rabbit hole or not, a DSP is a highly worthy investment, especially if you have audio knowledge which you seem to have. I’m using AudioControl Dm-608

The door speakers have FastRings installed. There is also extensive sound deadening on the door panels.

Reupholstering the rear seat delete with better material. I also reinforced the delete panels to make them more rigid.

I didn’t cover it completely. I did add a little to the back of the interior plastic panel as well.

I didn’t take any pictures. I used smaller pieces and tried to avoid areas that was going to make the door panel installation more difficult. I’d say I got about 70% coverage on the doors overall. I used Noico brand from Amazon.

Use a ‘Tap a fuse’ in the passenger footwell fuse panel. I think it’s #36 but I can’t remember. Easy to test either way.

Keep us up to date on how it turns out. Morels are great from what I’ve heard. What amps are you using?

Yes, OEM cap fits. I have the full gt350r brake kit including rear knuckles which pushes out the rear so my wheel fitment probably isn’t the same.
