Thank you for posting this. I was discussing this with a fellow member and just hadn't had a chance to pull the trigger. This looks better than anticipated!

Any plans for an 18" version?
  8. Precautions before welding

It is, however the moisture i believe is within the exhaust. My game plan for now is to try the Innovate heat sinks and see how long that lasts. I will need to pull the headers to weld the new bungs properly. I won't have time to do that until December, so here's to hoping the heat sinks fix...
  9. Precautions before welding

I expect I'm going to need to re-locate my 02 bungs on my headers. Prior to welding are there any grounds or controllers that need to be disconnected besides the battery?

Do we know what suspension mods this car has?

What does your diff get to on the street? This time of year with highs just over 100 it doesn't take much to get to 200. When the highs are in the 80s-90s the diff won't hit 200 unless i'm beating on it or am on a 90 minute plus drive

Thanks for the info. That helps. If you were doing it again/on your next build would you use that dual circuit cooler again?
  15. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Here is the initial pass at installing the trans temp sensor. I'm hoping I can find a double ended banjo eye so I can run the feed hose to the cooler off the other side. If not I'll move the banjo to the fill plug and use a M16 to -8an adapter and a T with a female on the side leg
  16. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Dave do you have pics of how you routed the lines up to the trans? I've spent some time under mine today and not really crazy about the options I'm seeing. So far if i keep with the plan of cooling the trans in a cooler similar to what you used my plan would be to run hard line along the...
  17. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Gotcha, thanks again. I'm putting mine in to determine if I need a cooler. I've already committed to doing a diff cooler. I like the dual pass cooler shown by someone else that posted on this thread, but if its not needed then I can use parts I already have.
  18. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Thank you, did you happen to monitor temps prior to installing a trans cooler (I'm assuming you have one)?
  19. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

LX1 were you able to re-label the user input to Trans via the nGauge or did you have to have external software to do that? I know you didn't ask me, but I can tell you what I have (will try to get pics tonight) I bought a banjo bolt to -8AN fitting. I ended up getting the banjo and the bolt...

Sweet nice to see someone else plumbing this into the n gauge. I went the route of getting the e motion harness and zietronix sensor.
