Agree with you DuRsT.
However, going from 3.55 to 3.84, with 0.18 from the 3.73 diff change-out, and the 0.11 from the tires, would give 0.29 shorter.
I would hope to feel that difference.
If not, on my other post, if there was another factory ratio between 3.73 and 4.09?
Thanks for the correction IBFB. Brain fade. Its is a 1:3.73 ratio Torsen in the PP Stateside.
I'm wanting to drop the ratio in mine since I got it as well. Good feedback with the 4.09 number.
Are there any other factory gear sets between 3.73 and 4.09, that could fit?
I have also investigated...
Its all about the MT82-D4 Gearbox.
The D4 is direct in 4th. The pre-2018 had direct in 5th.
This is why all the reviews complain about the over-tall, extra-long, gear ratios, and the reason it (the MY18+), is no faster than the old model.
The Auto box on the other hand, is substantially faster...
Hey Scylla,
I like the RS too, but have never driven one.
I've also got an Fiesta ST at home. Pictures below, on Mustang delivery day, both Race Red (except, found out later, the Euro red was different from the Yank red - go figure?)
I wouldn't part with the ST, even though I've got the MY19 GT...
The Wait is over.
Ain't she sweet.
The lads at Alloy Magic in Wangara done the Forged Alloy rims.
The rev match is awesome.
Cant get the smile off my face.
Al.
Hey Glenno.
Finally, the wait is over, and you get to see it in the flesh. You must be buzzing. No sleep for you tonight.
The dealership I'm with said it would only take two days for pre-delivery, so if its there on Monday, you should be able to pick it up on Wednesday.
Day before me, lucky...
About to know the feeling.
Vehicle has been at the dealership since Tuesday 13th Nov, the day AFTER I flew out for work.
I get back this coming week, and have arranged to get the alloys painted, prior to picking it up on Thursday 22nd - I've waited this long, after all.
Insurance with CGU, $1028...
Hey there Alfa,
What sort of high speed was the splitter exposed too? Vmax?
I really like the look of (your) the PP2 extension, but am always afraid it will be left on the side of some highway in the outback, after I have run over it!
Are there physical screws or such, that hold it in place...
Hey Glenno, Which insurer are you with?, that will not let you mod your car?
I rang mine today, on a separate renewal.
As I completed the transaction, I quizzed the rep on a quote for the Mustang.
After about 5 minutes, he said, that because it only has a 3 star ANCAP rating, the company would...
Hey Glenno,
My allocation has also been sent out.
She's on the Tamerlane, due into Auckland on 24th Oct.
Using your handy schedules above, it takes around 14-15 days to make it from NZ to Freo.
That puts it here on Wednesday 7th Nov (bad day - the one after Melbourne Cup!)
I guess it will take...
I've had an MY19 ordered, with a contract date of 30 April 18.
I had a VIN number 5 July 18.
The car had a blend date (Build) of 2 Aug 18, so it has been sitting in Detroit for the past 2 months!
The latest delivery date is 17 Nov 18, another 6 weeks, but NO promises!
The boat trip takes a month...
To be clear, I believe the auto is the superior choice. It makes the better use of the power-train and delivers on the performance potential.
I'm just pissed because I have to spend a truck load of extra cash to recover (some) of the deficit in the manual.
Al.
I ordered the manual. I just couldn't bring myself to get the auto. The driver involvement cannot be duplicated.
That's not to say the auto isn't a game changer. Ford (and GM), have done a great job with the new unit.
I won't have a hope of staying with a planted auto. Its really no contest - way...
I can confirm that it is 3 months from BUILD date to Delivery.
The car exists, it just takes 90 days from Factory, on train, to docks, on boat, to Oz, to clearance yard, to dealer, to home.
If you order it NOW, you will queue for 4 months to get a build date, so a 7 month wait is a good ball...
Hey etbiru,
Yes, it seams that USA build quality is just not as good as some of the other places FORD manufactures their vehicles.
Our current car (Fiesta ST), was made in Germany, and it is very well made (for a small, cheapish car).
Could you elaborate on your load index comment please?
If...
Hey Hornet, Nah, I don't have a Mustang (yet).
I had one on order in 2016, but the extra long wait list, and the fact that you didn't get all the US features (hood vents, power, etc), and with the new model info being discussed on here, I cancelled it for the 18.
Then I changed it again, when...
