So to finish this off:
Cylinder head temp is about 15 degrees warmer than coolant temp (surprised there is no coolant gauge; I used a blue tooth obd ii).
Temp without AC got to about 222 as a high, but mostly around 219; it was 91 degrees outside, in light to light traffic.
When I turned on...
I have a 2017 GT350.
I've noticed that my cylinder head temps are getting up to into the low 220s and brought it to Ford to check it out.
They say that up to 224 degrees is within spec; that seems high to me. Anyone else see these high temps just on normal street driving?

Kenwood,
I saw your car at C&C...the window tint was so dark I couldn't see inside your car at all...
Did you ever do any mods on your car?
I was the white (no stripe) gt350 two cars over...think we are headed to the same VIR run...
I think that the Ford service recommendation for trans and diff oil change is at 150k miles!
I have 2k miles on mine and headed to a road course track next month and wondering if I should change both prior to pushing it hard...? Thanks.
I have a 2017 GT350...noticing that the voltmeter often reads in the 12's. At a stop light was just 12.2; sometimes gets up to 14 but most often 12.7-13.1.
I called Ford service and the tech was trying to make it sound like this is OK but doesn't seem right...anyone have similar voltmeter...
Understood...but the info that Rocko provided had both cars driven by Randy...
But you are saying that LL times are misleading/not accurate? not even against the other times on a relative basis?

Car & Driver lightning lap for the full course at VIR is 2:51.8 for the 2016 GT350R; anyone have any info/guesses what it would have for the GT350? Or apples to apples at other tracks?
Thanks.
Wondering what people's track experience has been...to me it seems like a Trans Cooler is a must if one were to take their GT350 to the track for a 25 minute run as trans temps easily get over the 275 degree "limp" mode limit.
I am wondering if the same is true of the differential; is there a...
Separate question:
Has anyone installed part number M-7095-M8S? I have seen that part listed as both a trans cooler and a differential cooler; does it work for both?
Great; thank you all.
I am looking at buying a oxford white with the painted black roof and no stripe...it looks a bit too plain for me so want to potentially add the vinyl stripe.
I feel better about it all if the originals are vinyl also. Thank you.
