  1. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Just be careful not to cut the surface of the mats. I used to have them in my F150 b/c I liked the texture vs. the hard plastic feeling/looking weathertech versions. I really liked the look of these, but somehow managed to slice the surface of the driver side mat and it ended up soaking in...
  2. MBRP OR SVE EXHAUST

Another vote for the MBRP street system. My car was delivered from the dealer with the MBRP race system installed...too much drone at highway speeds. The street system is a perfect mix of loud when you want and relatively subtle when you don't.
  3. Catback exhaust for 2017 GT?

MBRP street exhaust. My car was delivered from the dealership with the MBRP race system, sounded great at idle but would drone like crazy around 100km/h (~60mph). I switched to the street version and it's aggressive when you stomp on the pedal, and relatively mellow at cruise. Most...
  4. Help choose: Best for twisties?

I'm in Kanata as well, bought mine from the local dealer...as well as my F150. The GM (Gerry) is the guy you want to deal with there, very easy to work with. He phoned before delivery to ask if I wanted the front plate mount installed or not, the mark of someone who's done this enough times...
  5. Help choose: Best for twisties?

OP - which end of Ottawa are you in? I live out in the west end and spend lots of time out towards Calabogie, the 511 and the track. I purchased a 2017 GTPP last year as my boys are getting older and want to come along on weekend drives. For street purposes, the reality is either option will...
  6. Mbrp race catback

My car came from the dealership with the mbrp race system, sounded good at first but the drone got old quickly. I switched to the mbrp street version, much better. It's not quite as loud, but still aggressive and no drone.
  7. Rattle that follows my Mustang's

I had the dreaded passenger side rattle on my 17 GTPP, turns out it was a loose push pin on the factory side splitter/trim piece. Run your hand under the trim and check the spots where the pins are located (they sit within recessed areas). My second pin from the front was hanging out enough to...
  8. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Finally installed some tint on my rear lights. I had ordered a kit from ebay but the film was crap, it wouldn't conform to the lights properly and ended up creasing in several places. I decided to just order some higher quality tint (2x5' roll) and cut my own pieces. The new film was so much...
  9. Rattling Rocker

Similar thread btw in the issues thread...a few of us with 2017 GT's where at least one of the rocker trim pins wasn't pushed all the way in. Makes a really annoying rattle at or around 100km/h!
  10. Daytime Running Lamps

Can you see the history of the car, specifically where it was first sold? Maybe it was built for somewhere south of the border where drl's aren't required...
  11. Daytime Running Lamps

Settings for items like DRL's can be adjusted using the forscan app. (connected through OBD port), doesn't have to be done by the dealer. The previous owner might have tweaked a few items using that software which basically edits the build table for the vehicle and enables or disables certain...
  12. Wind noise passenger mirror area. New 17

That was the same one for me, the second one from the front wheel. The plug that was loose for me had a hole in the middle, which I'm assuming is b/c the core pin that should be there is now gone. I think these plugs likely have a core pin inserted when they're properly installed. You would...
  13. Wind noise passenger mirror area. New 17

I didn't need to lift the car to check, if you get down on the ground and look at the underside of the factory side splitters that run between the front and rear wheels, you'll see a handful of cutouts where they mount to the frame. Inside each of those cutouts you should be able to feel the...
  14. Wind noise passenger mirror area. New 17

Excellent, enjoy! I still have to wait a few weeks for the snow to clear before driving mine.
  15. Wind noise passenger mirror area. New 17

Well done! I just went to check my car, found the second pin from the front on the right side of the car was loose...same as your video. That would certainly explain the rattle at speed as the pin wasn't falling out, but was loose enough to move around...and the location is right!!
  16. BLACK S550 MUSTANG Thread

yep, 25mm. Didn't like the wheels tucked under the fenders.
  17. BMR SUSPENSION'S S550 Lowering Springs: STANCE PICS!

SP080's installed. Need to get the bushings clocked and the alignment done...snow needs to go first!
  18. BLACK S550 MUSTANG Thread

Lowered on SP080's...need the snow to be gone! lowered
  19. BMR SP080 spring install - questions

Thanks. I measured the drop when I got home this evening. Looks like the drivers side front is sitting 3/4" lower than the passenger side...so it is lower, just wasn't what I expected based on some of the pics on this forum. I'll post back again when I've installed the passenger front side to...
  20. BMR SP080 spring install - questions

Hi everyone, As the snow is still here in the north and not going away anytime soon, I've started installing my BMR SP080 springs on my '17 GT with PP. I'm not in a hurry so I'm fitting in one corner of the car per week, working around other commitments. I installed the driver side...
