  1. Value of 2018+ tune and CAI with no other mods

Echo'ing what many have already said. Negligible gains when sticking w/ 93 octane and just a CAI (the reason I haven't pulled the trigger on a tune). E85, transmission tune (if auto), supporting mods (e.g., long-tube headers), etc. is when you start to see more noticeable gains.
  2. 2018 up GT on E85 come on in...

Ah, bummer! I was hoping there'd be no downside. Thanks for the info!
  3. 2018 up GT on E85 come on in...

So it looks like you can run Lund's flex tune with either E85, 93, or any combination of the two without re-flashing? If so, that's a pretty solid and convenient setup.
  4. Two 19x11 Square Setup Installs

Good find. I wonder what the technical explanation of this would be. Maybe they've programmed the Torsen slip conditions to work with OEM sizes, so running wider tires may not allow the diff to maximize the added grip and optimize slip characteristics.
  5. 350R Replica Wheels

Biggest problem with RTX, IMO, is that they don't offer an 11" wide wheel. SVE comes in both 10" and 11" so you have the ability to run wider tires in the rear or even do 19x11s all around w/ extended studs and a 20mm spacer up front.
  6. Two 19x11 Square Setup Installs

    This will help: Link.
  7. Two 19x11 Square Setup Installs

The opposite is true. Running a 305/30 versus say a 275/40 or 305/35 results in a smaller diameter tire. So acceleration would be greater in this instance and your car will think it's traveling faster than it actually is (the same occurs if changing your diff ratio from 3.55 to 3.73). And to...
  8. Two 19x11 Square Setup Installs

Maybe the question should be, "Why would changing the diameter of wheels/tires impact the differential?" I'd challenge that since the story your friend told you sounds incorrect unless further detail was provided. I can't imagine how this would cause issues since your tire diameters are evenly...
  9. Two 19x11 Square Setup Installs

Gotcha, but wondering from an aesthetic standpoint so they’re equally flush front to back.
  10. Two 19x11 Square Setup Installs

What a crazy useful thread, much love to those that contributed. It's hard to tell from the pics - do the front wheels poke a bit more than the rear wheels? If so, anyone running extended studs and spacers in the rear?
  11. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

    Really good points!
  12. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

Exactly. Here's the exact setup I plan to run and based on this thread. I'm not thrilled about running spacers, but such is life. I just need to figure out if I want to run 305/30/19s (like the GT350R) or 305/35/19s (like the GT350). 4x SVR R350s @ 19x11, +50mm 2x 20MM Hub Centric...
  13. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

I have yet to make the purchase (parts I'm going with are noted on post #60), but will do so in the next couple of months. I don't plan to track much and know the PSC2's are way overkill for street applications, hence the likliehood that the PS4S will be my choice. But, c'mon...#racecar
  14. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

To recent posts, wheels and tires will soon follow my suspension upgrade. I'll be going with SVE R350s and the only variables I'm deciding between are 1) 305's square or 305 front / 315 rear and 2) whether I go with PS4S or PSC2's. Everything I've read says that the PS4S are closer to MPSS...
  15. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

For a daily-friendly (treadwear, rain compliance, etc.), performance-oriented (grip for days, communicative, etc.) street tire, it doesn't get better than PS4S'. Michelin really owns in this space. My car isn't a daily and won't see as many miles, so I'll likely go with PSC2's when I upgrade...
  16. 3er's Shadow Black S550

Heeding many people's advice, I purchased and installed @SteedaTech's 35lb clutch spring. What a difference! While the clutch is now a touch heavier, the engagement point is much easier to caress. For instance, when rev matching on the stock spring, the inability to feel the engagement point...
  17. 3er's Shadow Black S550

Yeah, my F80, while admittedly a really nice daily and very refined, just didn't quite hit the mark for me. I actually think it's tough for any car that's daily driven to feel special over time. In any case, rev matching was nice at times, but I relied way too much on it. The fact that you...
  18. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

So far, I'm most interested in the following based on @BMR Tech recommendation. There's obviously been a lot of great advice thus far. Also still interested in any shop recommendations in the Houston area (preferably westside). FORD PERFORMANCE TRACK SHOCK & STRUT KIT 628.99 BMR...
  19. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

I'm sure you can't go wrong - both have great reps. In full transparency, I really appreciated BMR's approach of recommending items of which I get the most benefit for the dollar (that's my limited perception, at least). While I'm perfectly happy to spend $2,500 on a suspension upgrade, my...
  20. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

And that's definitely noticed and appreciated. I'll give you a ring when I place the order to grab that PDF! BTW, any shop recommendations in the Houston area (ideally west Houston)?
