If you have an OEM spoiler, it's a direct replacement (comes with studs/nuts/washers) and bolts right on. If your car is a spoiler delete car, you will need to drill holes. The spoiler fits 100% flush to the deck lid, so double-sided tape may be enough, but we always recommend using hardware.
We haven't done any proper CFD testing and just recently finished our production sample. The flap has about an inch of vertical adjustabilty, so it would be interesting to do some testing with it (though I don't know if that's a priority at this time).
Ballpark pricing for the spoiler will be...
I'll get some more info shortly, but the spoiler will be available by October. Includes custom aluminum hardware and plexi flap. It'll be sold in the satin black finish I posted. I believe many of our distributors will be carrying it (CJ Pony Parts, AM, etc)
Thanks! I played a role in the overall design of the car, though much of the car was directed by SAI and I was responsible for building a 3D representation of it for concept renders. I like the car a lot and while I agree the front is busy, I like it a bit better than the original '18 front end...
Thanks! And I can't speak to the availability of the hood/bumper as those are manufactured by Shelby American. I think they'd sell a fair few of them though if they were offered, but I believe they're allocating all of their available parts for the actual Super Snakes/Shelby GTs that they're...
This thread was a bit of a rollercoaster. :whew: Started off strong on the hate and then sort of balanced out. I'm glad some people like it, as I had a hand in a few of the parts of this car. I actually helped design the wheels for Carroll Shelby Wheel Company (they're called the CS3) and...
Our company, Drake Automotove Group, is actually coming out with one that should be hitting the market end of September/early October. It's a full replacement spoiler that mounts in the factory bolt holes. It's got an adustable plexiglas blade and custom aluminum hardware as well.
Here are a...
It was a lot of fun and I remember being really excited to hear that they were going BIG on the '18. They really followed through with it and built an amazing car. :headbang:
Can't wait to see how it comes out! I was fortunate enough to be part of the design process for this car (created the initial renderings for the '18 Super Snake and Shelby 1000 designs alongside the Shelby American team). This is hands-down their most complex and unique late model Mustang with a...
