I appreciate the input! PPI will definitely happen before may preowned purchase like this. Being that the 996 is also Mezger engine, what would drive you towards the 997? Looks? Updated AWD?
I've been looking at a track and weekend car for some time now. Almost pulled the trigger on a Lightning Blue non-R but the Recaros are just too snug for me in the legs. I've found a few leftover cars with the convenience pkg but during my search my wife keyed in on my frustration and asked...
Is there a way to find out if the convenience seats are going to return? I do not fit whatsoever in the Recaros, and finding one optioned exactly how I want is not happening now. Tried Cargurus, Ford, autotrader, etc. Still not seeing it as an option on Ford's website. I remember a rumor going...
Oh absolutely! I will never argue the LX isn't portly, and it drives as such. But the hate strictly on the basis that the chassis is old is what I was referring to.
I love Ford, but all this hate towards the FCA LX chassis is a bit unwarranted. Didn't ford start the Fox chassis in 1979 and essentially keep it the same through 2004?
Thanks for all the input guys! Looks like I need to find something on the lot or hope Ford releases the convenience seats again. Not looking good for the latter though unfortunately.
This was brought up in another thread but I wanted to try to catch the attention of more people who own this type of seat. Finally got to sit in one of the Recaro-equipped Shelbys yesterday and it was beyond uncomfortable. It doesn't help that I'm 6'4 and 235. It fit my 5'9 120lb wife perfectly...
Went and sat in Recaros today, definitely a no-go. Super tight on my hips. I'm not a small dude at 6'4 235lb, but this was really uncomfortable. Reminded me of a bulkhead seat on an airliner. Plenty of legroom but nowhere for hips. Sad part is it seems almost impossible to find a LB with white...
That's pretty naive. But even if you don't talk about it, it is widely understood that getting either of the Fords under MSRP is near impossible. Even if you find one listed at sricker, they won't budge, with the vast majority having ADM. Where on the other hand a quick search shows ZL1s at or...
While this is true, the ZL1 is brand new. Far fewer of them around, at least in my area. Within a 100 mile radius there are 12 or so GT350s, with maybe 2 at MSRP. Comparatively there are only 2 ZL1s, 1 is at sticker and 1 is 5k off.
The reason I compared the two is the performance for the...
Meanwhile there are brand new ZL1s on the lot for sticker or even 5k less than sticker in some cases. Spare me the Ford vs Chevy talk. This is a straightforward comparison of two too offerings from their respective company. The ZL1 would demolish the GT350. That being said I would prefer to own...
That seems to be the only way to find them now. I looked on Ford's site and even cars I know are leather equipped are listed on their site now as Recaro cloth. There is a Grabber Blue one about 30 min away that has the leather I've even sat in and it shows as Recaro on their inventory.
Why do you say that? Stains or another reason? Unless the kid gets sick, I don't see any stains happening. She isn't going to be eating or drinking back there. We won't be going anywhere far enough for that nonsense
Anyone seen a LB with white stripes and convenience seats for sale?
that color combo has me hooked. All I can find are solid color or black stripes with the convenience seats, or white stripes w recaro
Glad I ran across this thread. I feel admittedly uneducated that there was an option on seats. I found a black GT350 on the lot near me and sat in it. I'm 6'4 235lbs and they felt VERY comfortable. I didn't even notice they were not Recaros, but instead just bolstered leather seats.
My wife...
