  1. GT Factory Brake Pads - Front & Rear NIB

Brand new factory GT350 brake pads, front and rear, originally purchased for my 2017 model. Part numbers are FR3Z-2001-L and FR3Z-2200-E. Dealer list is $496.42 for the set. Your price is $395 delivered to the lower 48 states. Will not separate the set.
  2. More catch can advice

Emptying the factory can is a breeze, just unclip the two hoses and pull up on the two push pins. Less than 5 minutes to service. Here is a video showing the install: http://www.4cornertireshop.com/about-us/4-corner-shop-talk.aspx
  3. Catch Can Install Video

When I installed my passenger side catch-can I filmed it to help folks who might not have ever turned a wrench before. No wrench required for this very easy install, but sometimes a visual still helps. :) It's been on our Facebook page for a little while but now that it's posted to our...
  4. First track day in the R

You described this better than I did. Well said.
  5. First track day in the R

Not at all. Braking technique is one of the hardest things to learn and one of the last skills to be mastered. Most people need to spend time unlearning a brake technique that works on the street but not on the track. Most common problems I've seen when coaching people: * Braking too...
  6. First track day in the R

I will explain further. Billy Johnson, who was involved in the development of the car, believes that the stock system will not experience brake fade anywhere under normal conditions. I had this conversation with him 2 weekends ago before taking to the track in 93 degree weather on a track with...
  7. First track day in the R

You should not be experiencing brake fade unless something else is wrong, air in the fluid or pads that are too thin? As mentioned, pro drivers have been able to go all day without issue on the stock set-up. I'd recommend a flush and refill with SRF and see if it solves the problem.
  8. New GT350 Owner - Coming from Porsche/Ferrari

VERY impressed with this car on track! It is every bit the track car as my '07 GT3. Best attributes: * No hiccups. 93 degree heat and took a beating like a champ. * Brakes. Wow! Incredible stopping power and zero fade. Only modification was SRF brake fluid. I have never had street pads...
  9. New GT350 Owner - Coming from Porsche/Ferrari

Just passed 6200 miles on the car and I grab these keys more often than any of the others. Just an incredible daily driver as it transitions nicely from cozy highway cruiser with excellent ergonomics and electronics to playful beast on demand. Not on the same level as the Ferrari 599 as a...
  10. Anyone experience a weird issue when rev matching into 2nd sometimes?

I think your description points to this being a user-induced condition. As you say, when you blip harder the problem goes away. So it is 100% in your control to avoid the problem. The car is telling you it needs more throttle when downshifting into second. You just need to listen to what...
  11. Anyone experience a weird issue when rev matching into 2nd sometimes?

altjx - BTW, your photography is probably what pushed me to buy a Race Red/White stripe car. Beautiful work! And coincidentally I bought my car at All-Star Ford in Baton Rouge. :)
  12. Anyone experience a weird issue when rev matching into 2nd sometimes?

Lots of good advice here and 'circumstantial' is a good summary. As you are new to driving a manual, part of this is just discovering your own rhythm. It will come with more miles. In the mean time, a little more clutch slip and a little harder throttle blip may smooth out the issue you are...
  13. Anyone experience a weird issue when rev matching into 2nd sometimes?

If approaching a red light and coasting to a stop, why are you downshifting and blipping at all? Seems like the end state is the car in neutral and sitting at a complete stop. No need to downshift and blip. Blipping is done when downshifting to achieve the correct gear so that acceleration...
  14. Anyone experience a weird issue when rev matching into 2nd sometimes?

I offer this as help, not an attack, so please take this the right way. But it sounds like user error. Having done a lot of on track instruction is it very common to see drivers have a problem with the 3rd-2nd downshift when they are able to do the others smoothly. My theory is that the shift...
  15. WTF...Won't build gt350 with convenience package???

Not sure why anyone would wait, there is plenty of inventory out there to meet anyone's desired color/feature set. If you are willing to spend a day driving the car home or ship it, you can get a car at MSRP (or better) right now with no wait. Why such a strong desire to order locally and...
  16. Continental ExtremeContact Tire

I've got extensive experience on them having tested them at Continental's facility in Uvalde, TX. Amazing performance in the wet. Dry performance not quite as good as Michelin and Bridgestone. One thing worth noting is that they provide less feedback than some other tires out there, making it...
  17. Michelin PSC 2 Tires - What pressure for street/track

My shop dedicated part of our website to accumulate data on various track day tires to help folks find the right cold and hot pressures for various tires. You can take a look here: http://www.4cornertireshop.com/race-track-tires.aspx
  18. Anyone replace their euro sports car with a GT350?

I may put my 430C up for sale in April. Let me know if you are ready to pull the trigger.
  19. Any 350 buyers getting a Focus RS?

+1 Well said! The last gen GT is in my coulda, shoulda, woulda garage. :( I remember thinking about it when they first came out, especially after a friendgave me a ride in his. But at the time there was a lot of mystery as to whether Ford could really build a $150K sports car that...
