Up for sale is my 2016 Mustang GT, 6spd manual with the premium and performance packages, that I’ve owned since new. Original purchase at Fort Hood, Texas, and then spent three years in Bavaria, Germany with time on roads in Switzerland, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, and of course the...
Long time Ford and Mustang fan here. I have the Mustangs (4 now), t-shirts, and stock holdings to prove it.
I move for the military to Hawaii and find HUGE ADM mark-ups of $5k+ and obscure dealer mark-ups for air conditioning “super-charging” for $2,000. A $695 random mark-up too.
I get the...
I made the leap today and ordered 8” LeMans white racing stripes for my black 2016 GT.
It’s not my first rodeo for stripes, but would love to see white stripes on your ‘Stang. Please post them up! Thanks,
— Mike

$300 — pick up only in Watertown, NY. I’m also willing to drive an hour to meet.
For Sale: brand new, in box, Reybestos Slotted Sport Rotors for BASE GT or, I believe, PP EcoBoost Mustangs (please verify). These will not fit PP GT or Shelby Mustangs with 15” front rotors and Brembo 6 piston...
I swapped my Ford Performance Carbon Fiber shift knob (slightly less weight than OEM) for a $66.60 220 gram Boomba racing knob (80g heavier than OEM).
To my surprise, not only is the shifting more refined in feel (smoother/less vibration), but the typical nibbles I had in the first ~15min of...
Sharing for the greater good.
For the third time since installing my front swaybar and aftermarket endlinks, the front end of my S550 was broadcasting a significant knocking noise.
The fix? — tighten the swaybar endlink bolts (again) at the strut. This time though, I used an exterior “star”...
I was always a bit envious seeing clear tails on S550s when living in Europe...I decided to bring the clean look to my US spec:
Overall, super easy install (30min) with a big visual impact. Sequential function retained and D.O.T. legal. If you like the look, I highly recommend,
- Mike
Today I installed Steeda’s front sway bar and adjustable end links. It was time to ditch the PP sway bar—I had a bit of sway on sharp turns that I wanted to get rid of, so in the new bar went.
Install notes:
Let me say that this install was much easier than expected. It took a few hours, but...
Sometimes the simple installs pay off with a big bang of awesomeness. Today I threw on a set of real carbon fiber steering wheel bezels from CarbonPlug, and they gave a solid injection of “wow factor.” Great quality bits with flawlessly laid fibers, bubble-free gloss, and the alignment was a...
My steering is great most of the time, but under mid to full throttle I get a huge (1” or more to each side) dead spot in the steering wheel. I get this issue in both straight line acceleration and in the curves under throttle.
What would be the cause(s)? EPAS safety feature? Alignment...
I’m installing new struts next weekend and am curious of the durability and longevity of my OEM strut mounts. Any known major or recurring issues?
Thanks,
Mike
When I ordered my Bilstein shocks I noticed that no new bump stops or dust covers came in the package. I took a look at inexpensive Ford parts dealers, and the total cost for OEM stops and covers was $82 plus roughly $14 for shipping. $96? Not going to happen.
As I had a E92 BMW in the past...
I spent 3 years perfecting my suspension for Bavarian roads and high speed journeys on the German autobahns and succeeded, wildly. However, now that I've moved back to the US I have sadly realized that my suspension is too stiff for the local roads around me. Or maybe I'm just getting old...
I’ve heard humors that adding a larger front swaybar to the S550 can add some heft to the steering. True? Any other items I can swap in the suspension to add heft?
Background: I’ve already added quality and wider tires, stiffer control arm bushings, and I drive on sport steering mode. The...
How do you think it went? LOL! Yep, the little X-Bow is pretty quick. Luckily I had my action cameras on the car to capture the outcome.
The X-Bow is seen right from the start and you can see it off and on throughout the video. Have a great Saturday,
Mike
It’s been nearly three years since installing the FRPP by Borla Touring exhaust on my 2016 GT PP, and figured it was time to write a review. Big notes:
1. This system passed the very strict German inspection. The dbs came in at 94.6db. Very close! But the advertised 50 state legal is true...
Does anyone here know the diameters and rates of the PP2 front and rear anti-roll bars? If so, please share, thanks.
Edit: While we’re at it, does anyone have the spring rates as well?
