  4. Anybody ever fall "out of love" with owning your Mustang?

I can honestly say I've never gotten tired of either of my Mustangs!!! Just a simple blip of the throttle or a brief ride around the block still puts a huge smile on my face.
  5. Illinois-Chicago

I may be interested in the exhaust. How much are you looking to get for it?
  6. Royal Purple HPS vs API-certified

The high zinc oils are for mechanical lifter cams. The zinc leaves a slick film on the metal parts and prevents premature wear. the new oils have eliminated the zinc for several reasons. One being pollution and two because the motors now have roller cams and are designed not to need the zinc...

  8. Question about an MPT tune

I'm currently running the 87-89 PRX tune which I'm sure pretty much adjusts transmission shift points, shift firmness and throttle response and I love it. When summer comes I'll experiment with the 93 PRX or the E30 PRX.
  9. MPT Tune Officially out

OK, We finally got a break in the weather and some good dry streets so i went and did some track apps. With the 87-89 PRX tune went 5.5 0-60mph and 13.9 at 102mph in the 1/4 mile. It seems that the top end has not been improved much but lower rpm torque, throttle response and shift firmness has...
  10. Best route for gear change.

Put a 100 of Nitrous on it and you won't need to swap the gears. This still leaves you with great highway gears. Nitrous Express has great kit they call the proton which is jeytable from 35 to 250 HP.
  11. To tune, or not to tune?!

Octane is directly related to compression ratio. The lower the octane the easier the fuel will ignite when compressed. If the fuel ignites before the spark occurs then you have detonation or knock. The current 3.7 compression ratio is 10.5 to 1 which can definitely benefit from higher octane...
  12. To tune, or not to tune?!

Maintain it as normal and gas depends on what tune you have. Right now I have the 87-89 octane PRX tune and I run 89 octane in it. I only have a K&N drop in filter right now. You don't have to do any upgrades unless you choose to. The only upgrades I am going to do eventually are long tube...
  13. To tune, or not to tune?!

Call MPT now, you will love it. These tunes could only increase the longevity of your car. Now that being said, if you abuse the car on a daily basis then your going to hurt the reliability. This can be done just as easily on a car without a tune. My Brother was a programmer for Ford diesel...
  14. MPT Tune Officially out

I got my MPT tunes and installed the 87-89 PRX first since weather has turned for the worse around here. All I can say is that MPT has hit it out of the park with this tune. This is the way this car was meant to drive. The car shifts awesome in "D". Shifts are crisp and precise while...
